Miller Little Giant 7 Gallon Poultry Waterer Fount - The Best

I prefer this style of waterer for my meat chickens and turkeys and volume is important. I also have a 3 gallon. The only problem I've had is the top breaking. I think the strain of carrying the waterer by the top puts too much strain on it. As long as I remember to oil the top, it goes on and off easily.

I've never written a review on Amazon and I am reluctant to submit this dissenting view, but I feel it's essential to share that this is the biggest piece of crap I've ever purchased on Amazon.I've had two galvanized waterers for years and when one finally rusted through, I decided to try a plastic system. This has been an abysmal failure. It has NEVER held water -- whether the lid was screwed down tight or loose or somewhere in between. Water does not retain in the tank but continues to flow out on the ground until the tank empties. I probably should have returned it, but I thought perhaps I could get it to work.I caution you ... my experience has been very different than the other reviewers. This product has been an absolute waste of real money.

Have had different waterers other then the chickens soiling the dish its Still a good waterer. After using this product for a month I found it has a problem keeping suction witch means that even when ordering new O-Rings and replacement of 4 inch caps still have problems. I solve this problem by placing plastic trash bag then close the cap. I still use but for someone who doesn’t like to improvise it’s not for you.

This is the best water system for quantity of 15 to 25 chickens. I have tried a many styles and methods to supply water and this 7 gallon last about a week and is easy to clean and the tray being separate from the container makes this product successful. past questions on the leaking from the bottom hole is not at all an issue. I will likely go back to the metal container with reservation, during the winter because I am not sure on freezing issues. You will like this product. Alot

If you have used them for any amount of time you know that the galvanized cans do not last more than a year or 2 before rusting and leaking. I was filling up 4 gallons worth of the galvanized cans every day or every other day if I was lucky. So much was leaking and being wasted. I fill up this 5 gallon once a week to 10 days. So much better!Don't use the silicone grease like others recommended around the o-ring. It just collects dirt and grime and causes issues. the o-ring seals perfectly by itself.

The chicken waterer is the most efficient, easy, intelligent, clean, sturdy, way to water chickens, I have ever found! I will NEVER buy one of those stupid waterers that you have to turn over and then screw the top back on again! You can just add water when needed. I don’t have to change water daily!!!!!! So happy with this product!!! Saves sooo much time!

My chicken coop is littered with waterers that have come and gone. I've tried them all. This one is here to stay. It works amazingly well. You can water from the top, but the chickens can still gutter around in a big amount of water. I'm happy, they're happy. And it is so big, you don't have to fill every 10 minutes. Don't forget to remove the plug, though. I did that once, and the hens were NOT happy about it!

I like the top fill waterers, this one being among the most reliable with no wonky floats to be balanced. My only conplaint is that the extra screw top lid, which contains the water while filling, arrived cracked/broken. I'd recommend putting a few extras in the box or selling them in a package of 4-6.
