I have suffered from CFS and FM for many years. In more recent times, my condition had become so chronic that I would go through frequent periods when I had to be on complete bedrest and didn't have the energy to raise an arm up from my side. In an effort to help myself, I have many times researched for any latest findings on my condition and any therapies that might be available. About 6 months ago I began to read about the theory that both CFS and FM are caused my mitochondrial failure and that some recent studies, based on this theory, were about using D-Ribose, the sugar that is burned by mitochondria to produce ATP (energy!) was meeting with some success. I researched this for three months before deciding to try this supplement myself. Then, I waited three more months (afraid that I was once again chasing another solution in vain) before actually purchasing some (I chose Jarrow based on reviews). I wish now that I had tried this sooner. The studies recommended using 5 ml 3 xs a day. Being very sensitive to supplements, I started with just one scoop​ (3ml?) once a day and worked up to 2/day. Within two weeks, I noticed a marked change in myself emotionally, mentally and physically. I am ALMOST back to my normal self. I still have FM stiffness but not nearly as much pain. I can work a normal day, as long as I take a few breaks. I can work a busy weekend, as long as I get enough sleep. Even my husband, who does not suffer from my complaints, notices a difference on it. He recovers quickly from workout routines (he is 65), sleep MUCH better, has noticed a change in his moods for the better and has less joint pain. All in all, I am excited about life again. No, I'm not completely healed. I have to pace myself and take good care of myself, including getting adequate sleep. But I am active and a part of life again. This past week, I even participated in two difficult yoga classes at our gym - a first for me since becoming really sick. Thank you, Jarrow.

This supplement helped tremendously with the terrible side effects from a brief time on atorvastatin (Lipitor). I later found out that statins directly poison your bodies mitochondrial function and ability to create ATP (the source of energy in all living cells). Despite being athletic, young(ish) and healthy the statin left me fatigued with no energy, chronic muscle pain, neuropathy, dizziness, and problems thinking. D-Ribose is used in the body to directly to make ATP. When combined with Co-Q10 and L-Carntine it immediately (as in first dose) restored my energy and cognitive ability. It doesn't seem to help much with the muscle pain or neuropathy as of yet. I'm usually skeptical of supplments but this worked so quickly and made such a difference. The Jarrow product seems fine and comes with a handy measuring scooper so nothing to complain about there. Just add to water, tea or coffee. Doesn't taste like anything other than being sweet. I'm using 4 grams 3x a day.

I started taking d-ribose in hopes of helping with nerve pain. I can't say it's helped much with that. I can say I've noticed I haven't had one of those low energy "I wish I could sleep all day" days since I started taking this, which is pretty exciting. It taste a bit like a decent artificial sweetener, so it's pleasant in just water, I also mix it into smoothies.I've come to the end of my container and I'm ordering more. This time I'm trying a brand that doesn't list sugar in the ingredients, hopefully it works as well. If not I'll be coming back to Jarrow.Update: Tried another brand, doesn't work anywhere near as well as Jarrow. Had a relapse of fatigue, hurt more. On the plus side I now know for sure Jarrow d-ribose is helping some with the pain thanks to not using it for awhile. Won't be without it again.

I keep trying different D-ribose supplements. While this one seems to be high quality, unlike others, I am still for some reason unsure about it. A cheaper one had more of an effect on me. But with side effects. This product by Jarrow has no side effects. It’s good!

I didnt know this affects blood sugar and if you have a stable.or low blood sugar and take this you become Hypoglycemic! It gave me low blood sugar and left me super hungry to the point that I could not stop eating. I stopped dit after a week of use.

PRO: It tastes like real sugar and is the sugar your body needsCON: I'd use D-Ribose in place of sugar but it is too costly to do soI am picky about which brands I purchase in the natural foods section. I do think it matters as some brands are fly by night companies who are often new to the industry while others are proven leaders with products of utmost quality and integrity. The Jarrow brand is a quality brand and when I use their products I notice a difference. I feel better. This Jarrow D Ribose powder is a pure product. When you put it straight on your tongue, it is sweet!!!!!! You will not be disappointed with the quality or the taste. It taste just like real sugar and if it were not so expensive to use it all the time, I would.

I’ve been using Ribose for a few years and the only one that works for me is Jarrow Formulas Ribose power form. I have fibromyalgia with several other health problems and this product really helps me with some muscle pain relief. It’s amazing that I get more relief from this product then I ever got from any prescription. I only take it when I’m having a real bad day but I do believe it also helps me to have fewer bad days. Must stay in my system for a while. Great product and so happy I can purchase online/amazon now. Thank You!
