Super easy to install and uninstall for daily use. I definitely feel more secure with this on my door. It’s heavy-duty, thick, stable, and easy to adjust tightness by simply turning left or right.

Debated on which type of travel security lock to buy, but finally ended up with this item. I couldn’t have been more satisfied! It’s a nice weight and size, and I liked the included drawstring bag which made it easy to pack in my luggage. It is reasonably priced, and worked great for 4 overnight stays (with both carpet and hard floors), including one motel door. Although I didn’t actually test the unit by having someone push the outside of the door, I wasn’t able to open any of them once it was screwed down tightly to the floor. This lock seems to be well made, and I would anticipate it will be useful for many trips in the future.

Absolutely nobody is coming through a door that you have installed this Door Stopper on. I am astonished at the fit, finish, heft, machining... this quality far surpasses the price. Amazon wants comments on Lockability: A+. Durability: A+. Ease of Installation: A+ (remember, if you are rushing out in a fire, you will have to unscrew it! Of course you'd be down there on the floor avoiding smoke inhalation anyway, right?) and thickness. Ok yeah, it is thick. Really a quality item. You'll sleep like a baby with this baby on your door.

I love the idea of this & the fact that it’s small, lightweight, comes in a sturdy bag to store or travel with but it just didn’t work under my front door of my house. I tried to put it under the corner of the door close to the wall & couldn’t get it under the door so I moved it towards the middle. Once I got it under my door & easily started to tighten it I could feel the grip getting strong. I started to pull on the part that locks the device to the ground & was like “WOW! This has a strong grip & seems to work well” & then it slipped out from under my front door…..sigh! This is a great product & made sturdy but I have to say it’s not for all doors. It probably works better with doors that their bottom doesn’t completely touch the ground or have a rubber flap on the bottom as it makes it hard to get the flat piece under the door. Since this doesn’t work for the door I bought it for I have to return it. Boo.

Excellent door stopper keeps the rude husband away from you room and the stubborn kids out of your peace. It does lock the door very well and get your sense of peace back.

Recently purchased I installed the device tried the door being a woman it worked. I then had a man try and get in after the first ushed it loosened the device and he was able to get in with the second push. The device is good for deferring an intruder, but depending on their desperation to get in they will. I don't recommend the device. Will be returning.

This works! I have tried a few of those used at the door knob area, but then found out all those hotels in Europe are so much different, I think only one time those fit the door . But this one, all doors has the little gap under the door and even carpet or no carpet, works well. I’m been taking it to Paris, Barcelona, London and a few places in Italy, perfect for my solo trips and girls only adventures.

This little device is fantastic. It is super easy to use. You literally don’t even need instructions to know how to use it. You just place it under your door and tighten the screw. That’s it. Presto! You’re more secure. I use it on my bedroom door so I can leave my downstairs windows open during the summer. I don’t have air conditioning so I have no choice but to leave them open for air flow. I go to bed and rest easy knowing that it’s going to make it impossible for someone to get in without breaking the door down. Trust me, I tried to get in with it on and I would have had to break the door and make a lot of noise to make that happen. It’s going to give me the time I need to wake up and grab my protection. It is heavy duty and once it’s locked into place it’s not going anywhere but it’s also surprisingly light. You could easily put it in your suitcase and take it with you when you travel. It’s not going to cause extra weight and it won’t take up much room. I was worried that it would be a hassle to set up and take off but it’s so easy. It takes just a few seconds. The price point is also great. The only downside is that it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing to look at. But honestly, who cares? That’s not what it’s there for. I am super happy with this find. It’s so much better than the little alarms that go under the door. They aren’t going to stop someone from coming through and once the alarm is triggered it’s already too late. This most certainly will stop them and alert you to a problem so you have time to react. I do want to give full disclosure here; I only have hardwood floors in my home. I have no idea if it would be just as effective on carpet. Looking at it and seeing how much you can tighten it down, I believe it would work just fine. But I have not tried it. I give this 5 stars for accomplishing exactly what I needed it to.
