Surprisingly effective
I ordered two of these pumps in a panic shortly before leaving home on a 2.5 week trip. I have about 30 houseplants at home and I knew standard watering spikes weren't going to keep the most finicky ones alive for that long, so I figured I'd try an automatic pump system. I was honestly very surprised to find my plants in great condition when I came home.First, be warned: It takes some effort to set up the system. I put aside about an hour a night for two or three nights to soak the plastic hose in warm water, cut off segments of the hose at the right lengths to reach from one plant pot to the next, dip the ends of the hose segments in vegetable oil, and shove the little plastic connectors and drippers in at each end. The pieces don't fit together easily, but once you've shoved them in, they fit snugly and don't leak. It's nice that you can set how long and how frequently the pump will run, and you can adjust each individual dripper to allow more or less water for each plant depending on its needs. However, you should try to leave yourself a few days to perfect the settings before you skip town. I test ran the system about a dozen times in one night to check that the right amount of water was getting to each plant -- but that also means I (over)watered those plants 12 times in one night and had to dump out a bunch of excess water to keep my plants from drowning. Also: Once you set the timer on the pump, you won't really know if it worked or not unless you are around to see it the next time the timer goes off. So if you set it to water every 2 days, you have to wait 2 days to see if the pump actually starts watering.I didn't leave myself that kind of time before leaving home, so while I was gone, I did occasionally wonder if the pump was working properly, or if my plants were all dying of dehydration, or, if the pump was pumping too much water and flooding my apartment. Miraculously, it worked pretty well. One of my pots was way overwatered to the point of almost overflowing (glad I came home when I did) but the rest were pretty spot on, and all my plants survived.Overall: It's kind of a pain to set up, but that's just because it takes work to create your own custom automatic irrigation system. It's a surprisingly effective product and justifies its price tag if you care about keeping your plants healthy over a long trip.

Works. Good Battery Life. Mediocre drippers, Good tubes. Ok Pressure. Complicated Settings at first.
I got this for watering my plants inside while I was gone. But it ended going outside for a big potted plant that is mostly covered from outside elements. After SIX months, the horizontal LED line on the bottom left for the first number is OUT. My 0 is now a ∩. my 3 is ꟻ you get the idea? But the thing still waters on schedule and charges fine.PROS:Waters pretty accurately from the times I have timed it and rewaters at the same time everyday if you set it by day. (Will take you a few tries to set it the way you like if it is your first time) Directions under ConsBattery Life on this is pretty good. Usually lasts me anywhere from 2-3 weeks when I water the plant daily for 3 mins since it is super hot here. (Or you can leave it plugged in if you don't want to charge it) Tip: Double click the Power/Save button to see a number 0-10 for approximate percentage of charge corresponding to 0%-100%. There is no warning of low battery so you have to check. The tubing and strainer is great. Tubing is dark and prevents algae growth. It is also pretty rigid but flexible. The strainer with the marble weight works great in keeping out bugs and debris. But there are some downfalls...CONS:When first setting up, you have to set the time and frequency. The duration of the watering (How Long) and how often to water that duration (How Often). (You press the Power/Save button once to save the specific setting, if it turns off you will have to reset it)You have to press the Start/Stop button at the time you want to start your first watering. Then after it is done watering the duration, it will water again according to the Often settings you have set. (Note: There is no internal CLOCK SET that would let you set a specific start time AM/PM). (You have to do this again if the device is turned off or loses power)The drippers and clamps that hold the tubing are garbage. I do still use some but they do not compare to rainbird or any other watering brand drippers. They leak out where you use the twist knob if you try to turn it too low (or tighter) to where it drips (THIS IS MY BIGGEST ISSUE). But if you loosen it too much they nearly shoot a stream out. They also lack barbs on the end that goes in the tubing so make sure you get a clean cut and seat it all the way in to dripper. TIP: To prevent the dripper from leaking at the knob, use some quality teflon plumber's tape, I was able have it drip PERFECTLY and even turn off without any leaks! The C clamp stakes barely fit on the tubing and when it does it has a chance coming loose THEN the dripper on the tubing goes where ever it wants and waters everything around it. (To prevent this make sure it is tight and MOST importantly make sure the tubing is installed at where it naturally flexes to, zip ties help too)DOES NOT WORK with rainbird 360 sprayers or any sprayers. It will just dribble out of the sprayers if you use those, the pressure isn't high enough for those. It ONLY works with drip emitters so their small 0.5 to 2.0 gph would work). The pump isn't strong enough to use with sprayers but is decently strong if you let it spray directly from the tubing.Overall, the watering device works with some trial and error. You would have to try it several times and adjust the drippers accordingly before leaving and trusting it to water your plants as requested. But following the setting directions above will get it working right away.

The Tips on the hose failed twice: 1st time nearly caused flood, 2nd time water shot out all around.
It worked fine, until it didn’t. The first time it failed the “tip” at the end of the hose came off causing the entire pot to fill nearly causing a flood. The 2nd time a tip came off the hose shot water all over my office. I was on a call in my office when it happened, thanks goodness, or it could have been an even bigger mess. I don’t trust it anymore and won’t use it again. Avoid it or find a way to really, really, really secure the hose tips.

Great product
I looked at a lot of different systems I chose this one for a couple of reasons. It came with adjustable droppers. The tubing is black so no algea. It has a rechargeable lithium battery not AA batteries. It's water proof. The no siphon protection.. Now that I have up and running the droppers are great and provide what ever flow I need down to a very slow drip. The tubing is amazing It's soft and easy to connect. I am going to ask if I can buy more of the tubing for my other systems. If came with lots of connectors enough for just about any setup. It is so much better than the other tubing I have from rainbird. I did some testing with running it over and over to measure the battery and it will easily last a month.I have carnivorous plants and have to use filtered water so this system is perfect.Super happy thinking of getting another for other side of my porch.
