Mrs. Doubtfire

Family fun
Great family entertainment that has some very amusing scenes. The simplicity of the story flows nicely without being too clever. It also has some good morals and ethics that are sadly missing from most modern films now.

you have difficulty holding down a job and you act like a big kid
Families often end up in a similar situation!I sent the DVD to my sister-in-law and then said to my brother:Your situation reminded me of the Robin Williams film "Mrs Doubtfire" . . . you have difficulty holding down a job and you act like a big kid, you lose your job and your wife throws you out, you plan to move to a house which she says is not suitable because social services will never let the kids stay with you there, you are prevented from seeing your kids as much as you would like and you are prepared to do anything to see them including break the rules . . .(I am not expecting you to disguise yourself as a woman and get a job as your children's nanny.)

What a wonderful family film!
Of course, kids whose families are going through divorce might find this painful in some parts. But some kids may find the movie helpful because it lessens feelings of being alone or unique. Parents need to know that as funny as this movie is, it's really about the pain of separation and divorce. Serious issues such as the perception that Daniel is a bad father because he doesn't make a lot of money, and the implied criticism of careerist mother, Miranda, are buried under a lot of padding and jokes and voice impersonations. This movie is so different from other movies regarding divorce in the manner in which it deals with real human problems. Though it provides a basis for a comedy, the issue of divorce and custody is treated seriously. Irresponsible Daniel grows from the experience of looking at the world from a woman's point of view. Recommend it!

Great movie and so funny!
Great delivery as arrived earlier than stated. This film is so good and was always a favourite of mine when I was younger! Blu ray quality is good and a great addition to my collection. Robin Williams is excellent and it’s sad that he isn’t around any longer but this is a great way to remember what a great actor he was.
