Anvil™ Ice Pick (Wood and Stainless Steel)

Solidly built from good quality materials. The metal has some minor imperfections but still very nice. I was a little underwhelmed by the wood when I first opened the package. However, all it needed was a little rub with food grade mineral oil that I keep in my kitchen. I use the same on my walnut muddler and cutting boards. It protects the wood while making it look RICH.I also bought the companion 3 prong ice pick which was invaluable for breaking up 96 pounds of ice cubes that had froze into a huge chunk during a rooftop party.

This is absolutely perfect. I didn't buy it for ice but for self defense. I walk and bike by myself a lot. It's small enough to fit in a pocket. The handle is heavy and the pick is sharp, I hope I never have to use it.

Since most of us don't work with large blocks of ice in an ice factory, this is perfect for home use. With minimal maintenance, oiling the handle, this will be an heirloom tool you pass on to your kids and they will pass on to their kids ad infinitum.
