VGA Monitor Right Angle Male to Straight Female Adapter - 1 Foot Molded

I purchased this because I use my laptop with a projector. My new laptop VGA port is on the left, the side away from the cable source. The cable sticking out was always in the way, and easy to dislodge. This adapter fits nicely and takes the cable directly back out of the way. And because it fits so well, disloging the projector cabler is a thing of the past. My only recomm3endation is to be sure it will go in the direction you want. My laptop VGA port has the wide side on top, so the adapter goes out to the rear. If the wide side were down, it would come out the front, and then be in the way.

Worked well to eliminate a tight bend in a thick cable. And although it wasn't quite enough for my particular use case, I did like the offset of the cable on the 90 to try to clear adjacent ports. But the hardware on the female connector end has issues. My package only contained a single coupling nut for converting the male thumbscrews instead of the 2 needed, a minor packaging QC issue and not a big deal. But even when trying to use the single one provided, it would not keep the existing cable on the adapter due to poor design. When threading the adapter thumbscrew into the provided female nut, the thumbscrew did not seat tight against the body until it was almost all the way through the nut. This left insufficient threads to attach the thumbscrew on the existing cable. If the adapter thumbscrew was backed off enough so that both sets of thumbscrews used half the female nut, then that left enough play that the connectors would become disconnected electrically even though it would not come fully apart. I was able to find a spare screw in my parts box that was short enough to only use about 1/3 of the threads on the female nut and then the adapter connector tightened well and would not lose connection. A slight change in hardware size and better packaging QC would have resulted in 5-star review. Also, a product improvement suggestion would be to use thumbscrews with a screwdriver slot/cross on the 90 degree end. Finger only tightening in cramped conditions where this would be needed is sometimes near impossible.

I ordered this to improve some cable management on the monitor I use with my laptop. I wanted to stream line the cables (power, video, network ) to run over the back of my desk so I can keep them from dangling all over. This did a really good job. No appreciable signal loss, and was a nice aide in getting my cabling under control.Good value for the money.

Not super low profile, but I don't need to worry about bending the cord against the wall and breaking something. Also can be used as a short extension cable. It did let not cover other connections because its sideways.

Used in jamma arcade box I made. Had to use an angled connector because I didn’t have quite enough room and this worked out perfectly. No issues with installing and video quality is fine.
