I bought this for a half marathon trail race, and it worked great. Light enough it wasn't difficult to carry with me and the strap kept it on my hand. I loved the pocket for holding my gels, and it was durable and held up to one wipeout where I caught myself using the hand holding the bottle, as well as several brushes against boulders.

I have never been able to run while holding a bottle but my runs are getting too long/intense to go without water so I bought this for sub-6mile runs and a hydration vest for longer runs and I love this much more than the vest. I just plan my route to include a stop to buy a drink to fill it up again if no water stations. It’s so comfortable you barely know it’s there once you’re used to it. Great with electrolytes in the water as it’s small. I live in a hot climate so I fill it and freeze it. By mile 2 it’s starting to defrost enough to drink and stays cold through to the end - makes me drink it slower is good too. Seems expensive for all it is but worth it. Highly recommend.
