We have a large oak tree in our backyard that has a branch perfect for hanging a swing from-my uncle who is a woodworker made my kids a simple wooden swing that they used for years-but it eventually got weathered and the two ropes it hung from became uneven when we tried to make it higher. I bought this one to replace it. The first time I ordered it the box it came in had a large hole in it and hardware was unsealed and fell out when we brought it inside only to discover it was missing half of the screws and bolts we needed to assemble it. We returned it then a few weeks later-after checking the website that sold the swing originally was not restocking it-I decided to order it again from Amazon. This time the package had packing tape where the other package’s hole was-and only one bolt was missing from the open bags of hardware included. For the price of this swing -I thought it would be packaged more carefully. It’s very heavy and made of heavy metal tubing. My husband is a welder and is generally handy with putting things together so it took him about 30 minutes to get it together. We hung it from the branch on our oak tree where the previous swing hung. I bought a tree hugger band to attach the swing to so the branch would hopefully not be too damaged over time. My kids use this swing some times. It’s hard for them them swing on it themselves because it’s so heavy-so I’m thinking of attaching a rope it that they can pull to kind of get themselves going on it. I’m not as happy with this purchase as I thought I would be-but maybe with a couple of tweaks it will become the fun backyard toy I had hoped for.

This is a good concept swing for a large swingset, the hoop style swing is sturdy and fabric is comfortable for kids to sit on but is holding up well to climbing and sitting. We would definitely recommend this in the location of a tire swing as you need a tall swing set or tree branch to hang this unit. The swivel and mounting hardware is quality and makes spinning and swinging even more exciting. The only drawback to the swing is in the hoop assembly stage, it may require more strength than some possess to stretch and tweak the tubes into position without tools or an assistant, I managed well enough as a seasoned mechanic but I will point out that may be a tough spot for some people.

Swing went together very well and is very well built. It is sturdy enough for this plus size mom to sit on although I didn't spend much time there. My kids absolutely love it. We hung it from one of the huge trees in our backyard. It is loads of fun and I love that more than one kid can ride at once. It really cuts down on the fighting. Definitely recommend this for having your kids spend more time outdoors.
