CHANZON 25pcs 1W 3W 5W LED Heat Sink (2 pin Black) Aluminum Base Plate Panel PCB Circuit Board Substrate 20mm Star DIY Heat Sink Cooling for COB High Power LED Chips Lamp Beads 1/3/5 Watt

I used these for a 3D print of my son's Christmas gift: an oxygen destroyer replica from 1954's 𝘎𝘰𝘥𝘻𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢. I'm very, very pleased with the outcome. The aluminum material seems to be of decent quality. I was able to secure the LED's using some rosin/flux paste and silver solder. I added some CPU thermal paste to help transfer heat from the LED to the heatsink. In testing, I was unable to get the temp of the heatsink above 89°F, which is fantastic! The quantity of 25 was far more than reasonable for the price and shipping was very fast. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone running higher wattage (1/3/5) LED's.

Purchased these to go along with the Chanzon 10 pcs High Power Led Chip 4W RGBW 8 pins (300mA-350mA for Each Color 4 Watt) Multicolor Super Bright Intensity SMD COB Light Emitter Components Diode 4 W Bulb Lamp Beads DIY Lighting . Mounted the chips with a dab of thermal compound (I used Arctic Silver Céramique), and everything works as expected. They shipped in a single sheet still attached, so you can use part of the sheet as an array and keep them attached, or just bend them back and forth a couple times to snap one off and use singly. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that these come in sets of 25 while the LEDs come in sets of 10, so unless you buy 5 x 10 LEDs and 2 x 25 Heat sinks you end up with extras. Would be nice if Chanzon matched up the quantities a little better, but for the price, you still can't beat it (and like me, you will probably end up coming back for more anyway, so hang on to those extras!)

From my early assessment, these alone won't dissipate enough heat for 5w LED but if you mount them to some aluminum, they seem to work great. Great fit for the 5w chanzon LED. Having 2 additional solder pads on + and - make wiring in series or parallel a breeze.

Very nice heat sink units, they work great with high powered leds.

These make things much easier and convenient when working with led’s of this size. And the amount you get will last you a long time. All the markings are accurate and it’s very easy to solder onto these boards.

My original grow light was constructed without these mounting plates and the LEDs failed after about 100 - 150 hours. Without the plates the chips will start to draw excessive current and eventually burn up. I mounted 4 plates to a sheet of aluminum using ArcticAluminum thermal epoxy then installed the LEDs. It was a simple matter to wire the plates together with buss wire. I stuck some captan insulating tape under the wires just in case. With the LEDs on the plate the temp is around 28C just warm to the touch.

The 1W 6000k diodes probably don't require this level of heat management if operated in the open air, but they do warm these heat sinks up. These provide great heat dissipation, easy to read polarity markings. large solder tabs for power inputs and jumpers and a professional look. Worth the price. The downside is that there are too many in the package and now I need mare diodes!

Worked better than then expected. Used solder paste and a hot air soldering tool and heated the bottom of the heat sink. Worked perfectly. I suppose you could use a lighter torch and get the same result. Heat sinks do their job.
