Georgia (A True Book: My United States)

Definitely for 4-5 grades
My son is almost to 3rd grade, but he just turned 6. I thought the 3-5 was for the reading comprehension. The book has great information, but I wasn't expecting the bits about Native Americans, slavery and murder. Although extremely important concerning Georgia history, my child doesn't understand those things yet. Also, he likes to randomly say things to anyone who will listen. So now I'm terrified he's going to improperly remember our conversation and say the wrong thing to someone. Yeah, definitely for kids that can process what those events involved. I'm leaving 2 stars because there was no indication that it included content on topics that little kids may not understand.

I read this with my kids
I really liked this book, as I read aloud to my kids I could tell that they took some of the info in. This book would be best for third through fifth grade. So some of the info was above my younger twos head. But we all took something away from this book which is a huge plus in this book. I also love how they had some easy pages in this book about top ten facts and such in this book. It's a great book to check out and read with your kids.
