There are no better flip flops on earth than Rainbows. I have worn them for years. I have very high arches and problem feet that require professional orthotics, however, I find rainbows provide just as good arch support as my custom orthotics do. They will be very tight on your feet when first put on and you will have to wiggle and push with your toes to get them to the top of the shoe; this is normal and is what helps them conform to each individual foot. In about a week, they will have relaxed and then start forming to your personal foot and arch. I purchased the double layer due to my high arches, however, the single layer would be sufficient for anyone with normal arches. The toe strap in these will never break (and rainbow will replace them if they break before the sole wears out which takes years). I do find that before the sole wears out that they stretch a bit and become too loose on my foot for my preference, however, the arch support is there nonetheless. I garden in them and do other things however, that puts pressure on the sides of the shoe and probably contribute to the strap stretching. I wish Rainbow would make other shoes besides flip flops. They are extremely comfortable, supportive, foot friendly shoes

Rainbow sandals are the best. I have NEVER had a pair come apart, even the pair that I do landscaping in. They are a bit tight when you get them, but they are perfect. They take one day to break in and the next day you will be fine and they will fit like a glove. Don't get them too big, they are sized correctly and you don't want to loose flip-flops. I’ve been wearing rainbow sandals for over 25 years now and won’t buy any other brand of casual sandals - they’re waterproof, extra-ordinarily comfortable (once they’re a bit broken in), and very durable for a sandal. They also have changed little over the years, while most other products have declined in quality while increasing in cost.

I purchased these for my mom who would buy cheap sandals. I would watch those cheap sandals tear or wear out very fast and hear her complain bout her feet. She is in her 70's and decided to buy two pairs of these ( two different colors). She loves them, but seriously who doesn't lover Rainbows!? I have been wearing Rainbows since I was 13 years old boy riding waves and now I'm in my late 40's still loving them.If you want a cushioned and arch supported sandal that will last a very long time, then purchase these.When you first put them on, they will feel hard and uncomfortable. That's normal, they are made from real leather and top graded materials. Give it about a week and they soften up and contour to your feet. You'll forget that you have them on, they are that comfortable.

Hope this review will help those of you who are considering ordering your first Rainbow sandals. I owned one pair of Rainbow sandals, the Eastcape wide suede straps in size 7 which is 1cm over my heels. I would order size 6 if I were to order the Eastcape sandals again. Also, the Eastcape wide straps are a bit wider than the wide straps leather sandals. I normally wear size 6 to 6 1/2. I wanted to get the women's leather double layer wide straps and read as much of the reviews on Amazon as I possibly can to determine the correct size for me and even went onto the Rainbowsandals.com website to see their sizecharts guide.I decided to order size small( 5.5 - 6.5) in the double layer sandals and the fit is just right for me. The length of the sandals is 9.5" long, just like the guide chart on the Rainbowsandals.com website. I did measure other sandals that I own and they measured 10" long. The double layer leather sandals are indeed much more narrower than the Eastcape sandals that I own which can be problematic for those with wide feet. Keep that in mind when deciding which types of Rainbow sandals is more suited for you.By the way, the double layer sandals will take some getting use to since my previous one was single layer. It does add about an inch to my height.For the men sandals, I ordered my husband 2 pairs of the double layer wide leather sandals and even measured the sandals that he owns just to make sure I ordered the right size for him. He wears size (8.5 - 9) in sandals and measures 11" long. Decided to order him size Medium (8.5 - 9.5) which in length is 10 3/4" long, exactly what Rainbowsandals.com said it would be. The fit is tight and will need to be broken in but he thinks once he wears them, they will stretch and contour his feet. There's about half an inch of space in front of his toes but fits his heels perfectly. He tends to like his sandals a bit looser and not so snug but because he has narrow feet, they fit fine. Those of you guys that do not like to have any additional height, I would suggest ordering the single layer sandals. It's all about preference.I was able to email the seller to make changes and they were prompt in getting back to me and were very helpful and courteous. The sandals came earlier than expected, which is always a plus!

Rainbows are my favorite sandals of all time. I was finally forced to order a new pair after my pair of 6 years finally started wearing a hole in the sole.After the initial break in period these shoes fit and feel great.I highly recommend getting them wet (just splashed, not soaked) during the break in period to speed it up a bit.They did have a bit of orange color bleed on my feet when wet but it washed off fine.Hoping to get another 6 years out of this pair!
