Useful for delicate fabrics
The diameter of these pins is very small. They would be excellent for thin, delicate fabrics. They were recommended by a quilting teacher and will not make holes in cotton but they will have to be handled with much care in order not to bend.

Nice pins!
I really love the thinness of these pins. They are easy to flex when applying fabric to quilt batting. Using them now to make my granddaughter a landscape quilt.

ultra fine pins for quilting uses
I prefer these ultra-fine flower head pins ("the blue ones") to other flower head pins, and use them for a variety of quilting functions. Yes, as others report, they are flexible and easily bent. However, they don't leave ugly marks in fabric, and are useful for many piecing tasks. I have to guard mine now, as friends like them and "borrow" them and don't always return them to me.

Thin, Thin Pins!
I'm a quilter, and I sew a lot of small piece sof fabric together. These pins slide through the cloth so easily and smoothly...and make minimal distortion of the pinned area. I've relegated all my old, thicker pins to the design wall. If I need to use thicker pins for my piecing, I notice a big difference in ease of use. These do bend easily, though, so aren't ideal for thicker fabrics or bulky seams. Most of the time, I can un-bend a bent one, though. I think they'd be great for pinning silk or other fine fabrics. These are my very favorite pins, well worth the extra cost.

Too flexible
These pins are very thin and are difficult to set through quilting fabric. Might be better for lighter weight fabrics. They bend way to easily

My favorites
I’m a quilter and have become a “pin snob”. These are the absolute best pins I’ve found. Being long and slim they slide into fabric with ease. I give packs as gifts to fellow quilters and always keep new packs on hand for myself. Highly recommend.
