Read it! Right now!
The effect that these books are having in MY life is unmistakable, and almost impossible to put into words. I think all I can really say to convey it is this:If for some reason, you have found yourself here, download this book and read it. If it speaks to you, download the next one. If you start having questions, ask them and really listen for the answers, in your heart. This is how it started for me: I was on twitter, a nightly routine. I felt an urge to click on a tweet about Chop Chop, L.N. Cronk's first book in this series. The cover and the title really didn't appeal to me. I think the tweet stated something about it being a Christian fiction book which overall, doesn't usually make me feel overly obligated to purchase or download a book, even when it's free. With this book though, there was no question. Even though nothing about it appealed to me, I "wanted" this book and in my head I knew that I would start reading it the very next day. I even quoted the tweet I followed saying "just purchased! Think I'll read this next!" Who DOES that? (Eh...maybe a lot of people do, I really don't know). Anyway, the first book really hit me hard, and at the end when there was a suggestion to read the next book; again there was no question... I promptly purchased the second book, this book, "Day-Day". I couldn't possibly begin to tell you how my eyes have opened since then, and it really has nothing (but everything) to do with reading this book. What I think is that this book touched my heart in a place that I've been having trouble with lately and it prompted me to ask questions, the right questions.Maybe this book won't do that for you, but I'd like to challenge you. If you've felt the urge to purchase this book, then do it. Keep doing it until the urge stops. What's the worst that could happen? You could read a few great books? The other end of possibilities is limitless. Don't believe me?

Great Series
This book was very good, and the whole series is actually. I was surprised. I had purchased it a while back and couldn't remember why later. The name did not help. Start from book 1 though, and read them all. There were some things I didn't like about some of the characters, but those are mostly the books at the end, or the add on books to explain things from the main series. Just read the main series and enjoy it like I did.

A tear jerker, but so worth it.
David and Laci are back, this time as young newlyweds. They move to Mexico so that Laci can begin missionary work, and the young couple longs to start their family. But when they suffer a series of traumatic blows, David begins to seek out God's will for their lives, and finds an answer was staring him in the face all along. This is the second book in the Chop Chop series, and let me tell you, it is a major tear jerker. I wept, I mean really wept, as I read this book. I know so many women that have suffered through various fertility issues, so this book really hit home for me. I love that Cronk does not shy away from putting her characters through a lot of trials, because that is how life really is. Christians face so many trials, sometimes with grace and humility, sometimes with anger and fear. It is nice to see this represented in Christian fiction; it makes the stories so much more relatable. Fertility issues are not easy to tackle, so I applaud the author for doing so with tenderness.I felt like the story was so real. It sounded like real people talking, having conversations I have heard my friends have time and again. I think Cronk has done a fantastic job of creating reoccurring characters to whom readers become endeared. Each part of their story reveals new, fresh sides to the characters, so that we want to keep reading, so as to see where the story takes us.I think this story, and this series, will greatly appeal to most Christian fiction readers. Because the books are relatively free from any inappropriate content, save some tough issues, I think they would be appropriate reading for young adult readers looking to transition into more adult books. These topics are tough, but I think writing about them, particularly from a perspective of faith, is so necessary.

Quick, Easy, and at Times, Emotional
Day-Day is a quick, easy, and, at times, emotional follow-up to Chop, Chop. I did quite enjoy it and thought that the author sensitively dealt with the topics covered. David and Laci finally get married and move to Mexico, but, of course, life is full of ups and downs and they have some quite difficult situations to face early on in their marriage. It was interesting watching how they dealt with them – mainly as individuals. I have to say that I’m not completely convinced of their love for each other as both seem driven either by what they believe God wants them to do with their lives, or are battling because of it. They just don’t seem to be a very “together” couple, and, to be honest, I’m not overkeen on Laci. It will be interesting to see in further books if these issues actually come to a head and they have to deal with them.

Not as good as book 1.
I did enjoy this book, but not as much as book 1 which for me was 4*. The young couple head for Mexico which is Laci's vision, not David's. He is just along for the ride and because he can work via computer there as well as anywhere, but despite this, he grows attached to a little boy, teaching him English and getting him medical treatment. I did wonder though why they felt God had brought them together when they seem to have very different goals in life, but I suppose sometimes it does work that way. I thought David's stubborness in refusing to learn Spanish was uncharacteristic and in real life would have made things very awkward, how would he shop, order meals etc. without Laci there - and most importantly in a Christian novel, how would he be able to participate in church without knowing the language. I also felt that the book was not as in depth as book 1 with showing the main characters feelings/emotions/relationships etc. and it seemed as if it was a lot shorter too although according to Amazon product details there is very little difference in the length of the books.

Highly recommended
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the second book in the series. It's worth every penny. This book has taken me on a journey and i feel like i am learning along with the characters. I know some books that fall under Christian fiction are very luke warm but this is not one of them. It's lighthearted yet deals with some major issues than can be expected in a christian's life.

tears of sadness and joy
I got choked up a few times in this book. I really felt for what David and Laci we're going through. It's certainly a page turner. I'm now keen to read the next in the series.

Delightfully developed characters!
First let me say that I read this edition from a Kindle edition which had a different cover and one that I really liked as it showed a little boy's hand within a man's hand. The new edition cover with the red "pepper-like" soother certainly wouldn't have caught my attention, but I am unable to change to the kindle edition that I own. Don't let the cover fool you though - this is a great story which will bring tears to your eyes.David and Laci have married at the beginning of this story and they are leaving on their honeymoon, which David has managed to keep as a surprise for Laci, so I will not reveal this. In Chop, Chop #1 we know that it is Laci's dream to go back to Mexico to do Mission work and after the honeymoon, we are 'taken to Mexico'. David thinks that he will be able to just keep to his engineering work and not get involved in the Mission work with orphans that has taken over Laci's heart. I have had personal experience doing mission work myself with a home of 20 orphan boys and I know how worthwhile and heart-rendering this type of work can be. Every child is so precious, but some can just "steal your heart away". David has that experience as a precious little boy, "Dorito" decides to adopt David "Day-Day" as his own. This story will break your heart over and over again as you read through the struggles and trials that face David and Laci as they try to make a new life and a new family while working a mission field in Mexico. Thanks to L. N. Cronk, the characters in this story are delightfully developed and you will feel that they are part of your own family.
