I'm very pleased with this portable charger. Forget that you can use it as a power source for charging phones, tablets, laptops, etc during power outages. The thing accomplishes it's primary mission flawlessly. In support of that statement, I had a car setting for nine months in my driveway. I started it once or twice in the first month or two, then let it set all winter. The battery was so dead, nothing lit up when I turned the key. There was not even a click when I attempted to start it. I didn't bother with a voltage check. Dead battery. I pulled out the GooLoo and hooked it up. Impressed the boost button and the car started immediately. The battery would hold a charge reliably, but I actually started and drove the car several days prior to replacing the battery. I used the GooLoo (on boost) almost a dozen times without charging it. All five indicator lights come on when I hit the button. It maintains a charge for months. I recommend everyone get one. Very portable, very simple to use, takes less space than jumper cables.

I'd been noticing my car hesitating just a little bit at start-up, but my husband and I kept forgetting to get a new car battery. Well sure enough, I went to start it when I was home alone one day, and it was only that dreadful clicking sound. So, I pulled out my Gooloo, attached it using the EXTREMEMLY easy instructions, and it started right up! Seriously, if I can do it, literally anyone can use this thing! The Gooloo even has a light that tells you if you attached the cables correctly, so it was practically no-fail! (This is coming from a gal who knows next to nothing about cars, batteries, machines, etc.) I was so thankful I had it because I had no idea how I'd be able to get help from a neighbor since my car was in the garage next to highly immovable items. We would have needed some really long cables to jump it! :) It really was a life-saver! My husband and I have used our own Gooloo several times to help other stranded motorists in parking lots without having to use our own car. We have one for all of our cars, and we've bought them as gifts for family. I've found really good sales on Amazon for this model and don't see the need for one of the expensive models unless you have a larger vehicle. This model works on small sedans up to larger SUVs. It's a bummer they no longer come with chargers (though they do come with a cable), but they do work with most standard phone chargers. Highly recommend!!

Dec 19, 2021:: I got this to eliminate my dependence on others in the event I was ever in need of a jump-start. Thus far it has lived up to my expectations. However, I will provide a further update in the next six months to see if it really holds up. Dec 26, 2021:: Something seems to be wrong with my device as it does not keep the charge. I have seen reviews stating that they have to recharge once every 4 to 6 months. I have had it since Dec 19, 2021, and have had to charge it twice. This is very disappointing considering I have only used the device to charge my cell phone on two occasions when it was at 30+% and 40+% respectively. Have never used it to jumpstart any vehicle. If it loses charge on a phone, how will it power up a battery? Had really high hopes for this product especially since I have been researching it for almost a year prior to purchasing. Very disappointed. :(. Rating down from 5 stars to 1 star Jan 10, 2022:: Gooloo reached out to me and sent me a new device, and for that, I have great respect for their customer service. I received the device today and have fully charged it. I will provide an update on this device's performance in 30 days. For outstanding customer service, I have given 5 stars!! April 21, 2022: I am writing to provide an update on the replacement device (GP2000) that I received. My wife had battery issues with her car and was stranded. I rushed to provide assistance in getting her car started and thought that my device would work. Unfortunately, it FAILED!! Although it was fully charged and this was the first time that I had to use it since receiving and it was not able to start a 2000cc / 2Ltr engine. The power indicator when from 4 bars to 2 bars in seconds. I connected the device as required for operation and it just did not work. I really had high hopes of it working as I have been encouraging others to purchase. Fortunately, I was able to get the car started with a Gooloo device that a friend purchased. I have other friends who have purchased based on my recommendation and their devices work.

So my bike has been having electrical problems recently so I got this Gooloo. I had another brand that worked well but that's made for cars and is quite large. I was hoping to save space with this little one. Gooloo confirmed to me that this will work for motorcycles. And low and behold- my bike died the other day. So I had to use this. On hooking it up it didn't seem to really work or charge the battery, but I ended up having to use the 'boost' function on the jump starter. Once I hit the boost, the bike started right up. Ended up having to start it a couple times and the jump starter still shows a full charge. Basically all motorcycle/scooter batteries are the same, but I'm riding a Suzuki Burgman 200 (2019). One knock on it- I do wish the clamps were a little smaller. It was very difficult to get them to clip onto my little scooter battery. Actually had to pull the battery out of the housing. Which then was a pain trying to get the battery back in the housing and keep the bike from dying again after just getting it started. But I won't take points off for the as I'll assume the clamps have to be that size b/c of the current going through it. And if not- then there's a feature suggestion- Maybe make a set of clamps just for for motorcycles that are a little smaller and meant for batteries that are tucked away in a motorcycle/scooter housing.

By the looks of it, not many people have high expectations until their car firing up after connecting it. I have yet to have one dead car not kick to life after using this. Sometimes the car will fire up immediately after connecting it. Other times it can take up to a minute. The first thing I will say is that this thing is compact. Whenever someone with a dead battery sees me whip this out, you can see disappointment in their eyes. It's easy to connect - just the Red clamp to the positive terminal and the Black clamp to the negative terminal. There is an obnoxiously small button on the side for the power boost option, but usually within 20-30 seconds of hitting that button, the car is whirring to life. The main issue I have with this is the charging port for it. The plug is very small and basically nothing else will plug in to charge it. I had one before and I lost the power cord to charge it, so I had to buy another one. I am sure there were other options or workarounds for this, but that's my main complaint. The main thing that I love about this is that it is so compact and holds charge well. I haven't kept a count on how many cars I've been able to jump start between charges (I try to keep it juiced up all the time), but I believe I've gotten 3-5 before seeing the indicator lights bump down to one bar.
