I needed a finer mesh bag because I just had my pool replastered and the surface sheds a bit for a few weeks. This is perfect to pick up the small sand like particles. Otherwise exactly like the regular bag. I'd prefer a zipper closure but the velcro works fine.

This bag is awesome and holds up so much better than regular bags! I’m probably going to just stick with these! I purchased it because my husband put a covered patio and with all the sawdust going into the pool, I had to do something! Thank goodness someone suggested this bag! Now, our pool is beautiful and we were swimming in it just yesterday!!! I thought it was going to take forever heart to get the pool back in shape and I’m so glad I was wrong! I will definitely be purchasing this bag from now on!!! It gets the small stuff! I can do that yesterday, I was so impressed with how well it’s made. It has a Velcro clothes which I don’t care for but when I shook it most of it came out so I’m gonna stick with it! Oh and it’s significantly cheaper than the one someone told me to get!!! Seriously, by $20! I feel like I sound like a commercial but I don’t like spending money on stuff like that when there’s so many other fun things to buy, lol. Happy swimming everyone!

I waited a week to review the sand and silt bag . The first use of the sand and silt bag with the Polaris , the pool was sparkling clean and I was throughly impressed. However , the next day the pool was sandy and gritty again ( I left the sand and silt bag on,) I ran the sweep twice that day , took me another day to figure out the debri collected by the sand and silt bag seeps out our escapes, possibly through the velcro closure ( that's just a guess,) HOWEVER, I PPOFECTED THE USE !!! If I change the bag from the regular zippered all purpose Polaris bag to the sand and silt bag and run the sweep for 30 minutes, detach and remove the bag immediately clean out the sand and silt bag it works AMAZINGLY 🐳 I definitely would recommend this product 🐳 Just change it immediately after you run the pool cleaner 🐳

These filters work well and will filter out sand. Fit like if OE.

These are an excellent value; had this set for a year now and still in great shape. They will hold onto the small particles the 'normal' bags just let shoot through to cloud up the water. I've found fine bristles from the pool brush, a metal scrubber brush, and just about everything else you can think of gets trapped by these sand/silt bags. I've basically stopped using the 'standard' leaf bags as they let so much get through them. These are my go-to for keeping the pool clean. If you want them to last (velcro bag closure), you rotate the bags out and shake out what's trapped inside via the entry tube side...it's easy, then just let it dry out before opening the velcro and rotate the bags again. If you open the velcro closure end when bag is wet, the very fine gunk inside gets stuck in the velcro and it won't last doing it that way, which is the primary complaint with a velcro-closure style bag. Just be smarter than the bag, and they'll last a long time.

Better than the OEM version

I purchased these bags specifically to capture sand and silt that had settled onto the floor of my pool, which my standard Polaris bag could not capture.Upon receiving the item, I noticed that the mesh appeared to be almost identical to my standard bag or worse. You can see straight through the bags. So I had my doubts that it would work as advertised.Nonetheless I affixed one of the bags to my Polaris and started a cleaning cycle. I watched as the Polaris went over the patches of settled debris and left a cloud of debris in its wake. After about an hour, I pulled the Polaris out if the pool and sure enough, the only things in the bag were leaves and other large objects. It had left ALL of the sand and silt in the pool.The next day, once all of the fine debris had settled again, I affixed the other bag to my Polaris and ran another cleaning cycle, which ended with the exact same results.This bag is specifically advertised (even in the product title!) as being designed to capture those fine particles. It does not. These are no better than the standard Polaris bags. I am returning the bags and will look for a different sand and silt bag, and will not be purchasing any more items from this brand or this seller, due to the outright lies in the item title and description.Do not waste your money on this item!

Just as other reviews said, these are fit for the job and my pool bottom is grit free.
