Some brands just work for my baby fine hair and this does!
I first tried Authentic Beauty Concept shaping cream and loved it. It works very well for my super baby fine thinner hair--doesn't make it stiff and doesn't keep it 'too soft' but just that perfect amount of texture that gives me volume. So, I was happy to try this Bare Cleanser Shampoo. The packaging is minimal and that's fine with me. This shampoo doesn't have scent. It sudsed more than I expected it to, into a decent lather. I used ABC conditioner, and then their shaping cream, and my hair looked shiny and full.I washed it this morning and didn't blow it dry and put no product in it and I'm really impressed with how my hair looks! For baby fine thinner hair weird straight hair that has just a tiny bit of wave in some places and not in others, you know how your hair can look when air dried - bad, just bad! - but this shampoo loves my hair, or my hair loves this shampoo - it's mutual 😀Sometimes a product brand will just work for your hair type and sometimes it does not--this works very well for my super baby fine hair. I place this alongside my other faves like Oribe (which is way too pricey!) and Aveda.

Cleans Scalp And Hair Thoroughly Without Worry Of Stripping Color From Color Treated Hair
When I first saw the Authentic Beauty Concept Bare Cleanser Shampoo I was surprised to find a clear gel like shampoo as my first thought was that it looked like hand wash. The unscented shampoo frothed and lathered into a flurry of soft bubbles. I learned that I didn't need to use a lot of shampoo per use thereby helping me extend the length of time I could use the 10.1 fl oz bottle. The shampoo cleaned my hair thoroughly without feeling like it was stripping or lightening/creating a brassiness in my color-treated hair. The lather rinsed out easily and left no feeling of residue. After it was dried, I found that my hair looked healthier, smoother, and felt silky soft to the touch. My hair texture felt slightly different so I am guessing that this was a sign that the buildup was removed. The shampoo is vegan, cruelty free, PETA certified, it includes no SLS/SLES Sulfates, Silicones, Parabens, Microplastics, or Mineral Oils. Because it is unscented, it can be enjoyed by both men and women. I was really pleased with the results from using this shampoo. The only change that I hope the manufacturers will consider updating is the bottle top. I hope they replace the current screw top lid with a pump dispenser thereby minimizing the fumbling when trying to access the shampoo. When it comes to cost, it is on the higher side but based on actually seeing results, I plan to invest in my hair and purchase another bottle.

Too harsh for me
I have shoulder length, thin, fine, dry hair made worse with daily time in the pool. I normally use a high quality shampoo and conditioner. Once a week I add a clarifying shampoo and mask to keep my hair healthy. I have used Authentic Beauty Concept products before and been quite pleased with how they left my hair clean and nourished without weighing it down. Unfortunately, this didn't work for me.This arrives in a typical (small) shampoo bottle. The lid it a twist off and works smoothly and easily and the product is squeezed out of a small hole in the top of the bottle. The shampoos I tried in the past had a heavy added fragrance. I liked the smell but prefer natural smelling products without added fragrance. This describes the shampoo perfectly -- there is a natural scent but not added fragrance. It lathers nicely and is easy to rinse out.Unfortunately this is much too harsh for my hair. It left my hair feeling dry and stripped. Even when following with a quality mask my hair was not happy. Will not be buying again.

Fragrance free, but the shampoo doesn't work for me
This shampoo does seem to be an incredibly simple one - it’s absolutely fragrance free at the very least, which is nice but wasn’t something I saw in the description before ordering. For me though, the shampoo just doesn’t work. It made my scalp start flaking a ton and feel quite sensitive, and my hair didn’t feel clean after using it. For these reasons, I didn’t finish my bottle and I wouldn’t get it again.

Better for natural hair. Not good on bleached
I really like the hairspray from this brand so I decided to try out the shampoo. It is really difficult to wash my balayage with this because it dries out the ends and I can’t get my fingers through the strands.I have no problem washing my young child’s hair so I feel that it’s okay for normal hair but not for bleached or dry hair. The packaging on this is really annoying. It’s a small screw cap that is a pain to get off and put on when you have wet hands. I wish it had a flip cap instead.

Great Clarifying Shampoo
Of the many clarifying shampoos I've tried over the years, the Authentic Beauty Concept Bare Cleanser is the first that didn't dry out my hair or leave it painfully "squeaky clean". This crystal clear shampoo lathered up well, rinsed out easily, and left my hair feeling clean without feeling damaged like most clarifying shampoo do. I liked how it seemed to get all residue and older product out, leaving my hair feeling lightweight. The shampoo is unscented, so hair just smells fresh, and if you choose to use a conditioner with it, your hair will feel silky smooth once dry. I opted to use the Authentic Beauty Nourishing Hair Oil on my hair tip only after using this shampoo and my hair felt so light and amazing! The shampoo is gentle enough to use daily and is definitely worth the cost if you are looking to get your hair feeling extra clean without stripping it completely.

Bottle Concept Is Perfect; Shampoo Works Great
First of all, I have never used a shampoo bottle like this before and I think it is genius. I can get the shampoo out easily as it squeezes without problems. The shampoo comes out thick and a little bit does go a long way. I'm trying to recover my hair from it getting thin from sickness, which means in addition to giving up heat products and towel drying, I am using shampoos that don't have any sulfates, parabens, or silicones. This is a great shampoo because when I have greasy hair, it comes out clean. When I have thin hair, it no longer looks lifeless. It does increase volume without the harsh chemicals. The bottle is currently $28 at the time of review and typically I would say that is too high, but because it is so effective on my fragile hair, I would pay it in a heartbeat.
