This valve works as expected. Shockingly I purchased it and two 3/8" brass hose barbs for 1/2 of what HD wanted.

This works as advertised, I bought a set of 3 for my sprinkler system for the yard as my older ones busted the previous year in the winter due to water still being in the valves although I blew out the water out of the pipes before winter sat in. But anyways I bought this to replace those broken ones and it worked flawlessly during summer months, I just blew the lines out for the winter again and will see if it survives the harsh Canadian winters or not.
