Fun & Spicy Twist on Peter Pan
This book was exactly what I needed to get back into my reading goal. Quick read, great story line, and even better spice! Would definitly say the spice is relatively tame (to me), but it was enough to give the book that extra mile. Pan & the lost boys were exactly what I was hoping for and the author did a great job with toeing some aspects of the movies into the book! Can’t wait to read book 2!

Wow! Bloody hell!
I really enjoyed this retelling of my childhood, now as an adult, dark, twisted, fantasy. On to the next one!

This book was like nothing I've ever read. The story was interesting and captivated me immediately. I loved all the characters and the magic. The spice is 10/10. I'm hooked. Definitely would recommend.

Meh.
This isn’t it for me. It was fine, but I won’t read book 2, but it gave me something to do on a Sunday afternoon. This book is tagged as Extra Spicy… it’s not in my opinion. I’d give it 🌶️🌶️.5.

dark and spicy
Wonderfully spicy and creative. Fast moving plot and a creative storyline. The writing itself feels a little lacking like something from wattpad but not so much that it was distracting. I liked it enough to start the second.

Well written and spicy!
Very interesting twist on what wasn’t really that wholesome of a fairytale to begin with. Loved it and recommend it!

Retellings and Reverse Harems
If I'm being honest, I am normally not one to read books that are based on retellings, but I am so glad I gave this book a chance. That cover is "chefs kiss" and perfect for this retelling story of Peter Pan. This book was beautifully written and the mystery behind what he wanted was so good. Winnie proved to be a unique FMC with certain characteristics you don't find in many heroines. This is a reverse harem book so if this isn't your type then maybe don't read it. The only problem I had was that I wish we would have been given a bit more detail about each hero, which I am hoping will happen in the second book. For many generations, the Darling women have all fallen to their destined fate. After being kidnapped at 18 years old each one ends up losing their minds once they return. Winnie Darling is the next one in line with the threat looming of becoming fates' next victim. Forced to constantly move by her mother, as her way of attempting to protect Winnie with the hope of running far away enough that their kidnapper will never find her, she moves them to a victorian home. Where Winnie is forced to endure every single painful process her mother puts her through to try and save her.On the night of her 18th birthday, Winnie realizes just how wrong she was and just how much truth was in her mother's claims and nightmares. That night she learns that Peter Pan and the Lost Boys are not just a myth, but a reality and one intent on using her to find something that was stolen from Peter Pan long ago. Winnie proves to be a heroine who isn't afraid to admit what she does/doesn't like, endures a harsh childhood, goes after what she wants, accepts her fate, and yet finds it in her heart to want to help Peter Pan find what he lost knowing the risk that she might become mentally unstable just like her mother and all the Darling women before her. And she is also a confident woman when it comes to her sexuality, something you don't see in many books with a determination to be with her men.Now if you are looking for a group of morally gray, hot, demanding, dark, possessive men with dirty mouths who are willing to share and are based on a childhood fairy tale, then Peter Pan, Kas, Bash, and Vane are the perfect candidates. Throughout The Never King, we get to understand the hostility they feel toward the Darling women and why they have been kidnapping them. When Peter Pan takes Winnie, he and the others realize she is different, beginning to question who is preventing him from keeping his Crown, who are his allies, and if it's worth Winnie losing her mind. Yet fearing Peter Pan and Neverland's fate.If you don't like books in series that end in cliffhangers then maybe this isn't the book for you, but trust me this book is worth it and that epilogue made me so excited about book 2. Seriously read this book, you won't regret it!
