​I took a chance on the Monster Boomerang Neckband, and after testing several different styles of wearable audio, these have finally checked almost every box for me. If you’re looking for a way to enjoy music, podcasts, or calls without the discomfort of earbuds or the "sweaty ear" fatigue of over-ear headphones, these are a fantastic middle ground. ​Design & Build Quality ​Premium Feel: These feel solidly built right out of the box. The gold accents give them a high-end flair without being gaudy. ​Extreme Comfort: They lay flat and are so comfortable that you actually forget you're wearing them after a while. ​Intuitive Controls: Pairing was fast and simple. The buttons are slightly raised and well-spaced, making one-handed volume adjustments and pausing easy once you build the muscle memory. While I wish the buttons were even more pronounced, they are perfectly adequate for daily use. ​The "Frequently Returned" Mystery ​I noticed these were flagged as a frequently returned item, which gave me pause. However, after using them, I suspect the returns aren't due to quality, but rather user expectations: ​Context Matters: These are external speakers. They aren't for planes, trains, or quiet offices where you'll annoy others. They are perfect for the gym, gardening, or working around the house where you want to stay aware of your surroundings. ​Sound Trade-offs: If you are an audiophile looking for booming bass, these won't replace high-end buds. But for everyone else, the sound quality and call clarity are awesome. There is adequate bass, and the trade-off for comfort and situational awareness is well worth it. ​Reliability ​There is no immediate indication that these will fail due to build quality—they feel very sturdy. That said, I did opt for the Amazon product warranty just for peace of mind since I'll be wearing them during active tasks. ​Bottom Line: If you dislike the feeling of things in or over your ears and didn't care for the fit of bone-conducting headsets, these are the winner. They deliver great sound while letting you stay connected to the world around you.

First thing I will say about these is that they are essentially speakers on your neck so people around you will hear what you are listening to. That being said, I usually like to use these at home for gaming and music. I do not have to use my speakers and I can walk away from my computer and still be able to hear the music or video playing through these. I have liked most monster products so I decided to try these out as I wanted to use my speakers less to try and save some power. First I will talk about the material. I was very in love with how it feels. It is a silicone feel at the back of the neck but it does fit for my neck comfortably. It is more front heavy as that is where the hardware mostly is. The speakers are protected pretty well to reduce interference while also being solid so you do not have to worry about it being easily punctured. Dust and hard can build up on it but it is easy to brush off. The headphone cannot really be adjusted too much even with the back piece being flexible but it fits for the most part. The controls are on the right side (if you are wearing it). In order to control the sound you need to press + or - while changing tracks you would need to press and circle button twice or three times to depending on the direction you want to change the track. Pairing is pretty simple to just press and hold the play button until it flashes and then you just find the device on you device and connect. The buttons feel solid and have a nice click to them. For the most part, the instructions are pretty clear in helping and simple to follow. It also charged by type c and there is a small flap at the underside of the headset in order to plug in the cable. It can be a bit challenging to open the plug as the material stays put pretty well. The overall sound quality is pretty nice. Be aware that since you do not have this in your ear people will be able to hear your music. On to the microphone on this headset. For the most part, it was actually really clear and I could talk on the phone while walking or answer my calls in the car without having any issues. This thing does not irritate the skin but again this is front heavy. The tips are not magnetize so they do not stick together (I thought they did but they just come together do the weight). This product overall is a good buy if you are okay with playing your music and such out loud. I think it really helps in immersion into VR or gaming. Be warned this is only water resistant and should NOT be taken into swimming and such. The battery life lasted me up to 5 hours before I need to recharge the device. It does vary based on connection and how loud you are playing the music. Only thing I will say about this is that it is front heavy so it puts a bit of pressure on the back of your neck and the metal in the front is prone to scratching. Other than that great sound, clear microphone, good immersion.

+Comfortable to wear, noise leakage is mild, battery life last all day for me, and I have only dropped it on softer surfaces like rugs and padded floors but no issues so far. -Buttons feel awkward to use, can fall off easy if you forget you are wearing it and move the wrong way, sound quality is good but not much better than your average Bluetooth speaker.

Ordered these after a recommendation I received and couldnt be happier. The sound quality is great, I can barely tell I have them on most of the time, and they arent tight at all around my neck. The battery seems to hold up pretty well and they were super easy to connect.

However, after extended use in large, open spaces with high ceilings, one of the inner speakers eventually broke. While the speaker is generally sturdy, it's important to note that excessive drops or use in extreme conditions like these may lead to premature wear and tear. I wonder if the placement of buttons and the charging port on top of the inner speakers offers any advantages or disadvantages compared to the earlier design. Perhaps someone with the original model can share their experiences. Initial Impressions: The Monster boomerang speaker arrived in excellent condition, with secure packaging. The build quality feels solid, and the design is visually appealing. I noticed a slight difference from the original model: the buttons and charging port are now located on top of the inner speakers. Sound Quality: The sound quality is phenomenal, just like the original version. The speaker produces clear highs and deep, punchy bass. I've been enjoying listening to a variety of music genres, and the sound quality has been consistently impressive. Durability: While the speaker initially impressed me with its durability, after extended use in large, open spaces with high ceilings, one of the inner speakers eventually broke. It's important to note that excessive drops or use in extreme conditions like these may lead to premature wear and tear. Brand Trust: As a well-known brand, Monster has a reputation for quality products. While this is a newer version, I trust that it will meet the same standards of excellence. Overall: Despite the durability issue I encountered, I still believe the Monster boomerang speaker is a worthwhile investment due to its exceptional sound quality and solid build. However, potential buyers should be aware of the potential for premature wear and tear when using the speaker in extreme conditions.

In all my 25 year history with Amazon, I have never bought a product 4 times, for it to reliably fail every single time. The first Monster Boomerang was bought in 2021. I really liked it. It was extremely comfortable, and both the sound quality and sound volume were excellent. It felt like high end speakers following you around wherever you went. The battery life, bluetooth quality and ease of use were excellent. After 6 months of regular use, one of the speakers developed an annoying rattle. I contacted Monster for warranty support. The only option was a web form. Despite repeated requests they never responded. Then I noticed that the Boomerang did not show up anywhere on their website as one of their products. I assumed I fell for a counterfeit product. In 2023, I saw a "newly redesigned" Boomerang. Since it was now also listed on the Monster website, I assumed this was a legit product. I bought my second unit. It worked even better than the first one in every aspect. But this one died in only 3 weeks. Since it was within the 30 day window, Amazon exchanged it with no hassle. The 3rd unit lasted about 8 months, before it too lost a speaker. Assuming I would get this repaired by Monster, not wanting to be without one and seeing one on a deep discount at Amazon, I bought my 4th unit. Once again, monster never responded to multiple warranty requests from the web form. The 4th unit lasted less than 4 months before it stopped taking a charge. This time I did not bother contacting Monster. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 4 times... I do not even want to contemplate what that makes me. The Boomerang went to recycling and I moved to bone conducting headsets. While not even close to the audio quality of neck speakers, they work well enough for audio books and podcasts, so I am all set. The fact I do not have to deal with the horrible quality of Monster project; that is priceless.

Sound is decent. I guess for the price its fine. I've had a Bose wearable and currently have a Sony wearable. Sound quality is no where close.

Very comfortable around the shoulders and its like a little shoulder massage for every song or movie you watch with them very good bass and volume wise too for noisy and quite places too 😀 id buy again

Desta vez optei por um equipamento sonoro mais higiênico. Cansei de limpar cera de fones intra auriculares. Este resolve este problema, a qualidade do som é ótima, e permite ouvir outros sons externos, o que para muitas pessoas é necessário, ex: uma mãe ou pai que estejam em Home Work, e que possuem bebês, caso o bebê chore, é possível ouvir rapidamente. Ou utilizando em ambiente externo (pois existem fones que "eliminam" os sons externos e que por isso podem ser perigosos), ao atravessar ruas, etc, as possibilidades são vastas. Os botões são físicos e fáceis de operar, ao contrário dos botões digitais super sensíveis e que não respondem adequadamente de outros fones. Não utilizei praticando exercícios. Eu não usaria também. Pretendo utilizar cautelosamente para que dure mais. E ainda sobre exercícios, não sei dizer se sairia do pescoço após movimentos bruscos. Também não testei no modo comunicação. Se é que existe, pois não me atentei para esta funcionalidade na vira da compra. Recomendo. Quem puder trazer de fora em alguma viagem, pode fazer que vc não vai se arrepender. OS VALORES QUE ESTAMOS PAGANDO A MAIS, NÃO SE JUSTIFICAM!!!
