WOW! I'm so happy I got this! Our teenager has been sneaking out at night. We didn't want an expensive monitored security system. Too much hassle and expense. We just needed an alarm to go off when the doors or windows open at night. I searched very hard for the perfect system. I found it! At first I wasn't sure. The instructions are almost impossible to figure out. Here are a few tips if you buy it: First place all the batteries in. Put the alarm in "set" mode then place on all your doors and windows. They have arrows on the sensors that help with placement. They have little red lights that help you also. Then officially turn on the alarm and go test each one. It's actually loads of fun once it's all set up and our 4 year old got to be a pretend burglar. I'm super impressed with the motion sensors. They work amazing, even in the dark when your tiptoeing around. The instructions are crazy. You read it then ponder what they're talking about. I just hope the batteries last. I'll post again if they die too soon, but so far I'm VERY happy and I know our teen won't be sneaking out anymore.

This was one of the least complicated setups I've done on a prepaid home alarm. Was perfect for an elderly person who had no technical knowledge.

The manual is written in Chinglish! Open packages. Turn siren on. Plug in siren. Remove battery tags or install batteries in all door/window sensors. Red light will flash briefly. Push set button on siren. Siren will beep two times. Click remote alarm button. Click remote disarm button. Click 'set' button on siren. Siren will go dark. Push set button on siren. Siren will beep two times. Hold one door sensor in front of siren in the 'closed' position. That is hold the two pieces together. Now pull them apart. Door sensor should flags briefly and siren should go off. Now use remote to adjust volume. Initial volume is VERY load. Turn off siren using set button. Repeat turning siren on with set button, triggering siren with door sensors, and turning siren off for all remaining door sensors. Now install door sensors on doors and windows. Siren will flash/beep when door is open if armed. If you click the disable button nothing will happen. To check system be sure siren is armed via remote. The siren will flash and beep for a long time. Click the disarm button to turn off light/noise.I didn't use the motion sensors but they will have to be 'programed' to the siren too. Great alarm system, love the levels on volume control! Even after kids played soccer with the motion sensor, works fine lol.

The alarm is quiet and the remote's a joke.I wanted a deterrent in case someone came prowling, but the siren is so weak that it barely carries through my house, much less to my neighbors. Worse, the on-off remote is cheap and sloppy, often requiring multiple button pushes to work right.What's more, the restrictions on sensor placements make it hard to provide more than just cursory coverage.

cheap but works great. not that loud and light doesnt do anythingseller solved issues fast

Followed the directions and this alarm system does not work after set up.

We bought this for a home in Charlotte and it helps to know that if someone enters the home we will know. The alarm should scare them off.
