Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore – The Complete Screenplay (Fantastic Beasts, Book 3) (Harry Potter)

I liked the story line and the information on Dumbledore from earlier in his life.

First of all, I'm a big fan of JK Rowling. I can't remember any of her books I haven't liked, although some could be disturbing at times. Not all of them are "kids' books".I saw the movie based on this screen play when it first came out, and bought the DVD when it was available. However, I have a partial hearing loss that's only partially correctible, so I lose quite a bit of the dialogue. This book corrected that problem. I found myself picking up stuff I initially missed in watching the movie and video. From that standpoint alone, the book was very helpful. However, the various sketches (e.g., of costumes and sets) and templates for newspapers were very interesting, as were the quotes by people associated with the production.OBTW, I ordered two copies of this book without seeing it ahead of time. The other one went to my local public library. (I checked beforehand to be sure they wanted it.)

Screenplays are usually fast reading and this one would’ve been if not for the “personal commentaries” and the “artist renderings of the clothing and backgrounds.” Admittedly, I found it bothersome with the flow of action stopping every few pages for these additions. It made me think they either needed page fillers in order to price the book with comparable others of the same size, or they didn’t think people would be watching the first or this movie to understand what was happening. Maybe it was the timing of my reading the book, just a few days after the United States of America mid-term elections. True enough, the premise of the story is about the nastiness of politics, but after recent days, I have personally had enough to last awhile.

Surprised my wife with this book and she could not put it down. she read it before we saw the movie and she thought reading the screenplay was better than watching the movie.

Always easier purchasing online than a store. A bit disappointed the paper cover is torn in places. In person I could ensure I didn’t get one like this. Not worth sending back, but a bit frustrating.

What a great story. You forget you are reading a play very quickly. A good read as the journey begins

Fiquei chateado pela capa ser diferente dos outros roteiros, porém esse também está muito bonito. Diferente da edição nacional, a tinta da capa tem uma proteção e não sai.

Fantastic beasts : The secrets of Dumbledore is the complete screenplay of the movie of the same name. Wasn't sure at first when I saw the book cover because it's not matching the first two books in the series. But when I received my copy, and can't denied that the cover is really beautiful.So for the story it's the same as seeing in the theather. I saw the movie twice once a the theater and once when it came out on bluray. I have really love the movie and it was fun reading it since I could pictures what I had seen. Also in the book it included some sketches of the characters, places, creatures, and others stuffs. If you had like the Fantastic Beasts serie and Harry Potter, its a great addition to your collection.

Value for money and quick delivery

Eu sei que o povo reclama que ele despadroniza dos dois primeiros e não é desenhado pela galera incrível do estúdio Minalima, mas ainda assim o livro é tão bonito e bem apresentado que super vale a pena. Ele tem o equilíbrio perfeito entre o texto do roteiro e conteúdos adicionais apresentados num livro só, deixando a leitura muito mais convidativa. É tão divertido de ler quanto é divertido assistir aos extras dos DVDs. E é bem esta a sensação que essa edição passa.

The book was a fun read. I enjoyed pretty much the entire book and compared to my recent watch of the film, this is golden!
