Essential Type: An Illustrated Guide to Understanding and Using Fonts

This book is helpful for my typography class. I was having trouble understanding the concept of type; but this book breaks it down. It teaches you the parts of the letter type faces; has visual glossary of terms to help anyone new to the graphic design field or coming from a fine arts background. Very helpful for someone like me coming into a more structured STEM Arts and Sciences program. ( I am Drexel University in PA and my professor recommended this book for those who have a hard time switching to digital art from fine arts.I highly recommend!
