This was easy to put together. It seems really substantial, confidently holding both my wife and me.If you want to move your hammock around, you have a few choices, simply because this is so big.(1) You can drag it by yourself. There's no way to lift it assembled--it's just too awkward at that size. But you may not want to drag it across your lawn, say, damaging things as you go. And on pavement, I'd worry about damaging the powder coat finish.(2) You and a partner can easily lift and carry it, with one of you at each end. This is what we're doing so far.(3) There are wheel sets you can buy that bolt on near one of the bottom joints. Then you can lift the opposite end and roll it around sort of like a wheelbarrow.And now I think I'll go have a nap in my hammock...

3.5 stars.it's tough and sturdy but when I swing even a bit the hammock it goes clack clack clack, making me afraid to break it, so I don't swing the hammock which is fun :(the problem is that the junctions are too small and there the male pipe is too large compared with the female pipe, too much distance between them. which makes easy to put it in but with all that clak clak clak... no swing. Everybody knows, it's not good too much space between male and female, they need to hold tight.also no instructions, and the pieces at the bottom are not symmetrical, so you don't know if you mounted them correclty.

I have had a hammock in the past as a gift from a friend and have had a bad experience with it. I was skeptical in buying another one as I felt that the quality of my last one was terrible. Nonetheless, I decided on this 15 foot stand.When it arrived, the box was not too big, but as I opened it and pulled out the bars to assemble it, I realized that this stand was built like a tank. The pictures don't due it justice. The guage of the medal is very thick and strong. The powdercoating job is excellent. I bought the green stand and it really looks like these came off a tank.Assembly was extremely easy, and what I really like is all the pieces snap and stay together which makes it easy for me to move the stand around when I have to mow the lawn. This stand is very sturdy and well balanced. This was money well spent as I see using this for the rest of my life.

GREAT Product (but needs a better shipping box!)I did quite a bit of shopping around, and got a great price on this truly very sturdy and easy to assemble stand. Some notes to confirm/dispute other reviews below:Build like a tank is right! Really solid and heavy bars that snap together easily. The stand was up in 5 minutes (Ok, maybe 8). Really nice power coat paint job that should be super durable.When in use, no shifting or "clack, clack" from my stand! Some reviews indicated it was loud when swinging, i.e. fits of the pipes were not good. No problem with mine on that front! Solid!It's a large stand no doubt, but exactly the size indicated in the listing, so Measure Twice, Buy Once!I will confirm it comes with just the two hooks that connect to the stand itself. You can see a picture of one of the hooks in the listing. No additional chains or hooks to connect a hammock to the chain are included. So if you need those, either look elsewhere or frankly buy them at your local hardware store for cheap. In my case, not an issue - my Pawley's Island rope hammock already had perfect length factory chains attached, and was able to just hook it right onto the stand hooks provided.My only beef was the shipping container, namely the box it came in. While I know the seller might blame handlers and shippers, the box it came in was just too thin for the weight of this stand. Unless the shipper babied this thing (not easy to do 'cuz its a HEAVY box), that box would have a hard time not breaking even with one good drop into a truck. There was also minimal padding/stryofoam inside the box. When it arrived at my home, one end of the box was completely torn open, with some denting and holes in other areas. I could just pull poles right out and was seriously lucky to find all the poles, the 2 hooks and instructions all still in the box. Since I did, and this is a really high quality stand I got for a great price, it still gets 5 stars from me. But I did send a note to the seller to beef up the box if they can. Probably the same box it crossed the ocean on, so not sure what they can do there.All in all super happy with this stand. So happy that I wrote this review, which I rarely do. Buy and enjoy!

I've had this hammock stand for a little over a year now and it's worked out perfectly! It was easy to put together, has a sturdy base, and it's held up to being accidentally left out in the snow and rain for months at a time. No signs of rust or any wear at all!

I guess I didn't realize how long 15ft is! You need a huge backyard to be able to accommodate this stand. Luckily I have room. It's so beefy and seems to be very sturdy. My husband is going to to have to test it if it'll hold up.

This is a great stand. Heavy duty, easy to put together, just watch you don't pinch your fingers! Good size! Me and the dog love it!

I just put together my stand. Sadly it does not include the hooks and/or chains as some people in the answers below in Q&A said it does. I like the bronze color. It looks great. Is heavy and I think is going to do a good job.I wish I could use it now, but I have to wait to buy the hooks.😈😈

First I thought this would be very sturdy given that it is very heavy. But once I started using it I started to have doubts. It wobbles, and when in use the pieces move.

This stand failed during initial assembly and use. The hammock stand has a weight limit of 450 pounds and collapse at less than half that weight.

This thing is big. I do have quite a large deck and it consumes a nice chunk but I knew that going in.It's study and blend in well to the surroundings.
