Red Mini Flashlight

My previous AAA key-chain light quit working after a few years and I wanted a key-chain light again. I began searching on Amazon for key-chain flashlights, concentrating on lumens. I found some really bright lights, but they were all over 4 inches long, or 2 inches long but over $40. I didn't want to get a 4 or 5 inch flashlight because it would be longer and much heavier than my whole key-chain. I concluded that the physical size, and the price was more important than the exact amount of light output. Of the remaining available lights, I really liked this red SdeNow mini flashlight best. It arrived in a nice metal box containing the mini-flashlight with a handy split-ring attached, a USB-mini cable, and a manual. The battery is a 4-volt 10180 rechargeable lithium-ion battery (10mm diameter, 18mm long) which is built-in. The flashlight is built around this size of battery, hence its size. The flashlight has 2 o-rings, which provide IPX-7 water resistance (IPX7 = water immersion up to 1 meter depth). I found the flashlight to be extremely difficult to turn on with one hand because of the turning resistance from the 2 o-rings. However, with the flashlight attached on my keychain, it was possible to turn it on and off with one hand. With 2 hands, it's easy. I think it would be extremely unlikely for this flashlight to be turned on accidentally, because of its significant turning resistance. The red flashlight is probably anodized aluminum. (Anodized titanium doesn't come in that red color.) The black model might be titanium, but whether the metal is aluminum or titanium doesn't really matter to a flashlight. This flash-light is very strongly built. The Cree website says the XPG R5 'bulb' is in the 139-148 luminous flux group. The light is brilliant white in color and the brightness is excellent for a flashlight of this key-chain-convenient size. As I learned long ago with digital cameras, whether or not your camera is with you, at some random time, depends on its physical size. The small size of this flashlight means it will always be with me on my key-chain.

This is a little powerhouse but I don't think 100 lumen. Stronger than other larger keychain lights I've owned. I was concerned about how often I would need to recharge it but it holds for months as long as I don't actually use it. I had an issue where the charge indicator light was flickering and I was thinking the onboard terminal contact was bad. Or being on my keychain every day was too much for it. BUT - I eventually found the back end cap (not designed to be user removed) had loosened about 1/8 turn and I was able to re-tighten. It charges as it should now. I unintentionally abuse the heck out of this thing. It is part of my EDC and I mean E as in Every stinking day! I would advise buyers to loop a stronger split ring into the tailcap. The supplied ring is rather weak. I would guess this thing is closer to 60 lumen and 15 yard throw but I'm no expert. Runs a decent cycle on a charge IMHO but I have not timed it. The finish is close to mil spec anodized class 3 and the glass lense has not scratched.

This is a great little light. Very bright for its size. Nice cool white. Does not get turned on accidentally easily. Keeps a charge a long time when not in use. Fits very well on a keyring and fits easily in pockets. There could be a couple improvements though. It’s durable to a point. The one that lives in y wife’s purse is still pristine and bright. The one that lives on mt big key ring in my pocket with other things has developed problems. It is not nearly as bright as it was a couple years ago. And the o-rings that resist turning the lens end fell apart and had to be replaced. But I still like it and bought another. Still the best light I could find of this size.

Well this is certainly the smallest lightest flashlight I've ever owned. It's far more powerful than it looks tho.It's now the one on my keyring and is going to stay there for a long time.Seems very well built and so convenient to charge too.I think this is the ideal setup for what I've wanted.Had a Solitaire mini mag for yrs till the battery leaked and utterly ruined it. Plus it was the older incandescent type bulb,great for it's time tho. So I wanted a more up to date LED light thats easily recharged and this fits it that perfectly. It has a titanium casing,powerful enough LED lamp and a lithium ion battery. Even comes with a usb cord to plug it in along with a nice case to hold it all in.You hardly even know it hooked to your keys as it weights almost nothing. Fit's my key-rings parts great as it's all titanium also. Got tired of lugging around all that extra weight just for keys.Funny tho now the brass keys themselves are the heaviest parts now.Used to have an all stainless steel setup, worked great for it's day tho. I've seen this same light different names on them and they want more for them. So I'd say tis is a bargain all the more for it. I'd say give it a try I think you'll like it too.

I've looked at a LOT of mini-flashlights, and this is by far the best for EDC/every day carry. I had one that took a battery and was twice as long hanging from my clip, longer than everything I was carrying. As you can see from the photo, this one matches the other items. And better still, it has more lumens than most minis, definitely more than what I've been using. And no batteries! It is easy to recharge with the USB cord supplied. It is easy to operate, just a simple twist and you have a lot of light from a little device. Maybe I'm a bit OCD, but like others I want compact EDC items. By the way, I got the clip, whistle, pill container, and pry bar from Amazon; the P38 from the Army. Because everything's small, only I know I'm carrying them. If you're into EDC, this is a must, especially if you like to keep your items in an Altoids box. Definitely an improvement.

I liked this flashlight initially, due to its decent light, size, and operation, but I discovered flaws in its construction. The internal unit with the bulb does NOT remain screwed in. It loosens and the light fails, until I use a small needle to screw that section back down tight. When it unscrews, the light often fails to operate, flickering or turning off completely. Once I tighten the internal part, all works well again. This light is ok, but its construction issues prevent me from recommending it. I might try using locktite to keep the light side internals screwed in.

This tiny thing just sits on my keyring in case I need it. I carry other lights but this one insures I’m never without one. A very non-scientific guess derived by comparing it to other lights is it puts out about 70-90 lumens, which is plenty for just about anything you would expect to use a light this size for. If you need something to duct tape to the hood of your 4X4 to get out of the woods in a pinch, this might be less light than you want, but it would probably do on a good dark night! I have left it on for over an hour and it was still putting out light. There are some other tiny lights I looked at and I liked this one because it will tail stand, has a larger head than body so it looks “flashlighty”, is inexpensive and uses a standard micro USB cable to charge. If you want keyring light that you will barely notice give this one a try.

I've tried several of the highly rated keychain lights on Amazon, and this is my favorite. It's super-small, it's rugged, it's rechargeable, it's extremely bright, and it has one mode activated by twisting the cap. I don't personally need infinitely variable brightness, strobe mode, etc. I have another highly rated light at $26 that claims 360 lumens, and I purchased 10440 batteries and a special charger for it -- so at least $40 out of pocket. It's great as well, but it's twice as big, and I've had issues of it lighting itself up in my pocket via it's side-button. It does go brighter, but I never use the 360 lm mode -- it's just too bright to be practical and the body gets hot. This is the keychain flashlight that is "just right" all the way around. This makes a fantastic gift for a child, by the way.

I have had a tiny torch on my car keys ever since. One of the major drawbacks was that they required button batteries. Not so this little gem. It is small enough to join my keys, very bright and rechargeable. Very happy so far.

I like the size of this little torch. I have many larger torches and find them too bulky for hiking. This little one is perfect for stashing in my EDC pouch on hiking trips. Really recommend this one for space-saving and it works as described.

Llegó un dia antes de lo programado, en un estuche metalico. La calidad del material se siente muy bueno. Ilumina bastante bien, para su tamaño.

Perfecta para el llavero, apenas un poco más grande que la clásica Photon . ... En cuanto a la intensidad ni de lejos 200 lumens . Más cercano a 45, incluso la Photon con pilas nuevas es más brillante. Sin embargo no requiero más para el uso ocasional que le doy, es práctica por ser recargable y parece de construcción sólida. En general si la recomiendo.
