6 pack MRE Desserts / First Inspection date 2023 to 2025 / Fresh & Fast! (Marble Pound Cake)

I like these they're a little pricey but I understand they have a long shelf life. I bought them at least three times.

I purchased an entire box of 100 Lemon Poppy seed dessert cake MREs TEN YEARS ago. Enjoying a sample-test snack every few months, I notice they're just as good now as when they first arrived. The cake I opened this morning (19 May 2022) was just as "fresh" and tasty as the ones opened ten years ago! Each individually-wrapped cake includes a small packet of silica gel crystals for freshness, clearly marked...Of course, I would never suggest these compare with some delicate pastry served on fine porcelain at a fancy-pants restaurant. But as comfort food in emergencies, or camping, or snacks for long trips, well-protected from insects or vermin or the vicissitudes of humidity and mold... CAN'T be BEAT! (Not a professional Chef, but I've cooked baked lots of bread and cooked lots of tasty meals for family & friends.) –– ‹ =ºÞ

I'm always looking for different items to include in my emergency food supplies and I saw this and decided to order 12. They came within 4 -5 days ,nicely packed, no rips or tears. Then I decided why wait for a disaster to find out how they taste? So I ate one, then another! They are good!
