Halt! Dog Repellent, 1.5 oz, Aerosol

I walk my dog every day past a house that has 2 (and sometimes more) dogs tied to the front porch with a flimsy piece of string. I know that they have gotten loose and on more than one occasion have attacked other dogs and/or people. I can't go another way around them, so I carry Halt with me whenever I walk my dog past that house. I used it once when one of their dogs came after us. It worked, however, it can be tricky to keep your dog from getting sprayed. I shortened my dog's leash and got between my dog and the attacker before I sprayed. The attack dog ran in the opposite direction. That dog still barks at us when we go by, but he no longer tries to get loose.

Had to use on the approach of an aggressive dog. Sprayed at its feet and that was enough to make it back away. I certainly would have sprayed towards the face had it kept approaching.

Thankfully I’ve never had to use this spray, BUT I keep loosing them because the clip on it is worthless!! I just lost another one today! It would be better to have a clip to attach to a belt loop or wear around your neck on a lanyard.

Easy to use. Small enough to carry in pocket or purse. Effective.

I’m a runner and this is the safest and friendliest way to repel any aggressive animals. It was recommended by my neighbor and mailman after being attacked and bitten by a pack of dogs.Doesn’t hurt animals. Just a startling smell that they don’t like. If I have used it, I just squirt it in the air and they’re off!Although, I might add that my dog and I were followed by a coyote once and in that situation I was a little more aggressive out of fear!And it worked!!! That coyote was out of there so fast! And so were we! Ha!

Haven't had to use it. Bought it because it was a safe alternative to use on animals. Hope I never have to use it.

My neighbor has an aggressive dog and I bought this to try to keep him away. It only works for a second. I spray it, he shakes his head, and less than a minute later he is back to throwing himself against the fence and barking. So I don't think it works very well.

I was issued this product the first time through work. Had to use it when a dog tried to attack me and it worked with just a tiny squirt. He came back for a second squirt within about 2 minutes so it’s best for giving you time to escape. It made me a believer though. I used it when I was delivering packages a few times too. I now drive a semi and bring my dog with me. I noticed some drivers are overconfident in their voice control and have their dogs off leash at truck stops so I started carrying it again. Today it saved my dog and maybe me too. Three fully grown bullies were tethered together and coming for us h#ll for leather. I had bullies before so I knew it wasn’t to play. Their owner was running behind them but too far away. I pulled this spray off my lanyard and sprayed the lead dog full in the face. He kept coming so I hit him again from the side as he lunged to bite my dog. He veered off then the second and third ones came in and I sprayed them too. I was praying it would work because I know how determined bullies can be. All three were kind of dazed and their owner arrived to grab their tether. The lead dog who got the most direct spray was rubbing his face in the grass. I explained to him it was just pepper spray and we got the heck out of there. I’m so thankful I had the spray with me! My poor Ella is not a fighter and would have been seriously injured or killed by three dogs attacking her. Get this spray and carry it with you every single time you’re out walking. You never know what might happen
