My Pyrenees doesnt care about it very much ... but the toy itself is decent, sturdy, not something you worry about leaving out in the weather unlike some of the rope and cloth toys getting grimey, saturated with dirty water etc if left outside- this one is just rubber. when my dog HAS used it, I wouldnt feel shy leaving him alone with it because he cant chew through it and thats saying something - your pitbill or something may go through it though - but its way less insidious than a rope toy for the same purpose.

I have a 60lbs Malinois who was a military working dog washout. She's aggressive with tug-of-war and has destroyed so many toys very quickly, not to mention the love marks on my hands. We've had this Tonka toy for weeks and it's still completely intact! I was concerned about the yellow ring, which has an obvious seam (the black ones are more tire-like and no seam that I can find), but it has held up beautifully against her tugging/thrashing. I can also throw it down the long length of our yard and it bounces and takes the beating well. This is now our Maligator's favorite toy, and while she rarely chases balls anymore, she will tear up the yard every time to retrieve this. Even if it does break, I will buy another. Definitely one of the sturdiest toys I've bought for her.

My malanois loves to tug and the rope tugs have all failed quickly. Gave this a try in hopes it would let her tug without the stringhetti and it has done pretty well. My only complaint is that I wish it was about double the length. She loves to jerk her head as she tugs and the length on this is prohibitive. It's perfect for the standard back and forth tugging but the side to side just doesn't have the flexibility and movement range. She loves to grab the center ring which allows me to grab the others and hold on and she pulls with everything she has, thankfully the linoleum flooring gives her a treadmill like experience and she gets a good workout in.

I originally found this toy at a pet store on clearance. My dog LOVED this toy. He is a super chewer and it took him a couple months to tear them up. Most toys last a couple days or even a couple hours. I was thrilled to find this on Amazon. I was smart and bought a couple of them. When I gave him one yesterday, he carried ot around all day and slept with it.

my dog rips everything apart right away and this has been hanging in there without falling apart! love it!
