Q: What is the flow rate through the filter?

As in home brewing I used these filters at 3psi of Co2 anything more than 5psi may push sediment through the filter. If you're using gravity flow for 5 gal you're looking at about 30-45 min

Q: What is the temperature rating?

I use fir the tap water . In my home is 20 C , but i think you can use until 50C , safety

Q: Can one take showers with this or will water pressure drop with 1 micron filtration?

I noticed a pressure drop when I inserted 1 micron filter on 3 stage system during my original flush stage. It serves my purpose but It really now depends on your current water pressure prior to filter.
