Sizing is correct. And it could totally be unisex.

Q: I am a female, 5’4” and usually wear a medium in women’s. How do these unisex sizes compare? Is it easy to return if I order the wrong size?

Wow, I ordered these last year for grandchildren and had a terrible time with getting the right size, why they are not following bi lines for sizes or sticking to the normal range of sizing made me crazy. Yet to answer your question and since you can exchange it I would go with a large, I am sorry I do not remember what size I ordered Hope you have better luck
