Im pretty impressed with this radio..it has a lot of extra features and love the solar charging. Its well made and works great !!

This radio can run on 3 AA batteries, solar energy that stores in a rechargeable battery which can be charged by a hand crank and by using an electrical outlet. It has clear sound and picks up channels well. It has clear, large numbers on it. It has a military style look that I love. It n is sturdy and made to last. I highly recommend it.

Tried it out for a month and it did real well even in rainy weather. Like it so much I’m contemplating on purchasing another one soon for my survival bug out bag. Before buying this one I looked it up on YouTube to see its reliability and quality, well, it had a four and half star on Wikipedia and people who’ve used it, rave about it. It works really well for for what it is. Like you, I’m sure you hate to purchase cheep crap and you can never seem to trust what the description says about the product, well, it works just the way it says it does and I’ve had absolutely no issues with it. That being said, remember, it is a Electronic item and may not always work for everyone who buys one the same way as mine, I can’t say how others who have bought the same radio have worked, but mine worked very well.

Decent quality with standard radio sound. But when you have no power you can rely on the solar charger or hand crank to get needed news updates.

The radio was purchased as an emergency preparedness item and we couldn’t be happier. It has good sound quality, several radio frequencies, multiple operating options such as batteries , solar, and crank. Have recommended to friends

My wife and I were looking for an emergency radio. We chose this HQ brand based on customer reviews. We chose black because of the reviews that stated that the olive color makes the markings on the radio hard to read. This radio is excellent. I have it in my garage on the weather band. So far all of the features work as advertised. The black color makes the markings easy to read. It's loud enough that I can have it on the workbench and hear it clearly on the other side of the garage (Remember, it's not a stereo). I've tested all of the features and they all seem to be working.I highly recommend this radio for emergency readiness. This radio works for: Every day weather monitoring, local disaster situations, and various "Bug out" situations.

The first thing I did when I unboxed the radio was to use the hand crank to charge the batteries. The instructions said to crank for 1 minute which I did. That charge lasted for about three days. When the batteries finally died, I placed the radio outdoors with the solar panel facing the sun. It got about six hours of direct sunlight. The batteries lasted about an hour. That was very disappointing. This radio does not come with an AC adaptor cord for charging. So you are limited to either a couple of AA batteries, the hand crank, or the solar panal.I'll keep the radio, but I think if I want another I'll look around a little more. I'd not recommend this product to anyone.

There literally is nothing about this product that works. Reception is barely satisfactory in a metro area, but good luck picking up anything anywhere else. It is useless, unless you use it as a cheap plastic paperweight.

Radio came with out cable charger to the computer ,with out charger to DC .No protective screen was there for solar screen .Visible scratches on the screen.Looks like used-not new. Very upset and disappointed the way I got it.I order many items on line, all of them come with full accessories.Not recommend to buy.

This radio was great for a week. After that it stopped working. Very expensive for what you got.....i expected more.....and wish it lasted longer 😪
