we purchased 2 sets of these balls for my daughter who plays 14U travel. We use these for speed drills. they hold up well and have good texture and size (12 inch) for her to throw. We usually throw against a hard foam wall so it doesn't wear out our hitting nets.

There are numerous products out there for plyo ball training for baseball players but few for overhand and underhand ( pitching) training for fastpitch softball. This set is well made and the right weight combo to fit a training plan for fastpitch players at any level from 12 - 18 yrs. If you are using a program like HIGH LEVEL Throwing and want a more economical but equal quality to the lightening balls give these a try. A bit hard to find in stock on amazon would be my only issue but company has stock at the company online store if Amazon is out

I do not recommend ordering from Play 9 sports. I received my set and the 9oz ball was missing and 2 of the other plyo balls appear to be heavily used. It is disappointing to pay for a new item only to find it is used and missing 25% of the product. Seems a total lack of quality control.

Really bummed. I looked at a number of options and bought these because they were 12 inch balls, but that are not at all. They are 9.25” size but the label says “softball size.”

Initial review is good. Seem solid, time will tell if they hold up!

These balls are advertised incorrectly! Which for me was exactly what o was hoping for ! They are a softball fastpitch training ball for U13 and up . Perfect for pitching and throwing progression drills . I’m using these with my daughter to follow the HLT program I’ve compared them with the HLT Balls and aside from the rough finish they are the same product !

The other reviewers are right...the description of these balls does not match the pictures. These ARE 12" size so they are great for softball drills. We received 5 balls (as shown in the pictures). These are great! Work as expected!
