I used this to spray a piece of sheet metal so that my son could have a chalkboard that he could also put his magnets on. The paint dries to look like a chalk board and does not scuff with magnets. I have used this on backerboard, metal, and concrete. Works great on all of them and makes creating a chalkboard extremely easy.

Not even Home Depot had this product so I looked it up on Amazon and voila! It works well. A lot of liquid comes out at once which I liked but be mindful because that also means it runs out faster than you would expect. Overall, exactly what I was looking for to create a board to write on. Wear a mask, a pair of gloves, and maybe even goggles to protect you from getting stained. Avoid using while it's windy. The smell is pretty strong but it wears off. I highly recommend it.

This is great used it on an old train table.How I used it was:1st Hand sanded2nd Wiped down3rd Sprayed on coat4th Let dry for an hour5th Sprayed coat number two6th let dry for 3 hours7th conditioned it by putting a layer of chalk then sipping it off.How I clean it is with a microfiber cloth dust first then with furniture polish wipe it off.

It works really well as a chalkboard. BUT, it should only be used OUTSIDE. I was making a chalkboard directly onto their wall and after three separate coats (drying in between them) I had a soot-like coating on half of my house. A very fine, nearly unnoticeable mist had traveled through my kitchen/dining area and every surface and item had to be washed by hand as it stuck just enough to not just rinse off under water. Each and every one of the boy's toys had to be hand washed in the tub and some of the soot had reacted with a few plastic toys and would not come off. It was like a greasy residue. I had to use "Goof Off" solvent to remove most of it. I had to use a Swiffer on my kitchen floor twice and then wash it twice. It was awful. My suggestion: The paint makes a superior chalkboard compared to brush on paints, so buy a piece of masonite, spray it OUTDOORS, and then screw it into the wall or hang it indoors.

This is amazing and for such a cheap price! I was worried it wouldn't work well or go very far so I bought 3 cans just incase. I was blown away by how well it worked, the good quality and how little we had to use. We turned a table into a chalk board for our child, we put multiple coats on (3+) and only used half the can, the table is great I am amazed at how well it turned out.

We ordered two of these for an in-home job that consisted of creating a 6-foot by 3-foot on-wall chalkboard. The job was quick and easy, dried fast, and seems to be just as functional as I imagined. I had plenty to cover the surface area of the board, but with the extra, just put on a light second coat and we now have an awesome chalkboard in our spare bedroom.

Great price and absolutely wonderful. Bought it to spray over the Melissa and Doug deluxe easel chalk board per recommendations on that product. Followed the directions, sprayed it down 3 times with 10 minutes in between sprays, let it sit overnight, rubbed the chalk sideways over the whole thing, erased it, works like a champ! Still have what feels like about half a can left.

Love this product. I have turned everything into a chalkboard. Well not everything, but close to it. From picture frames, to canvases, to lanterns to file folders. I love the freedom a spray paint offers over the traditional form of paint. Just get creative and start spraying. You can really think outside the box and add some fun to just about anything!

The media could not be loaded.  Used it to paint a white composite sheet black. It was good, but be careful to spray outdoor as the smell is very strong and better to cover it face. It gives a Matt black finish.I sprayed the board twice to give it a better finish. My daughter uses it the board as blackboard. And she draws lovely stuff on it with chalk and wipes with baby wipes.Now she has her own light black board which she can move around with. Have used it daily for 4 weeks now and the paint it still intact on the board, and doesn't comes out even if u wipe with wet clothWhile spraying kids should be kept away, and should be sprayed outdoors as it has alot of spray paint smell, can cause allergy.

To start with, i received the product with its cap broken. I guess its a packaging issue. Regarding the product, i applied this on my son's writing table. Its very easy to use. The finish is also good. But its not easy to clean the chalk writings with a regular chalk board duster. I have to use a wet cloth after each use. So thats one practical difficulty i have faced. Now it remains to be seen how long the paint is going to hold with this wet wipe cleaning.

Great convenient looking product but only so if you use it outdoors and don't mind paint deposits in the adjoining areas that need cleaning later. Took us 2 days to get rid of the paint deposits in the furniture curtains and linen.

So easy to use, makes a clean smooth matte finish of chalk paint, my kid loves using the chalk board that I made. It's too good, must buy for all diy projects!!
