Not what I needed / ok book
This book is ok. If you don't have any idea where to start repairing clothes, this is for you.I did find it odd that waterproofing canvas, nylon, etc. were included along with fixing seams, patching, sewing on buttons, fixing hems. I thought there could be a few more helpful illustrations in a book of this style. Most of all I was disappointed that it didn't tell you how to fix those tiny holes that appear in shirts (knit shirts such as t-shirts), which based on a reference elsewhere I was led to believe would be covered. That's the main reason I bought it, while hoping I might learn a few extra things along the way.Waste of money for me but hoping to pass it to someone who can use it.

What kind of idiot thinks this is a good idea? Total waste of three dollars
This book is completely unreadable on a Kindle, on an iPhone, or on an iPad pro. The pages show hand-written prose so small that you need a magnifying glass to decipher the letters. What kind of idiot thinks this is a good idea? Total waste of three dollars.

Don’t waste your time and money. . A 15 page book at best. Handwritten. You will return.
I have gotten some bad books before. I just gave them to the library or put in yard sale. It wasn’t that they were bad as much as they just weren’t what I was looking through but they were well done, good photos, etc. This is just nuts to be represented as a serious book on repairing your clothing. If I could have given this no stars would have.We knew from the cover the name of the book. And her name — but she had to add in 3 more pages to tell us this. The cover, and one other with the pertinent information like the phone, address, printer, author, etc was enoughAll she did was add in worthless pages. By my count 8 total blank pages; 13 pretty much wasted pages to set off the sections which was already on the 2 “index” pages; another 4 for the the so called ancient waterproofing techniques; 2-3 for the repeated pages of Fix Your Clothes title page and the resource page thus at least 28 pages out of the so called 64 are wasted pages, totally wasted pages. 64-28= 36 pages. Those 36 could have easily, if typed, fit on 15 pages with a proper photographs. And that’s being generous so another 21 pages wasted. 64-28-21=15. She sold us a 15 page book and called it a 64 page book for $6.95.Blatant fraud. I see now why she didn’t let us preview it. Just the handwriting would have been enough for me not to buy it. $6.95 was too much for this book. Someone mentioned $3.00, assume it was used — not worth $3.00 either. The other issue is the quality of what is being supposedly taught. Go to the library and check out a top quality book for free. I wanted something on hand to give a someone who is a budding clothing recycler. I thought it was going to show clothing and fixing them, ideas for improvements, up-cycling, or recycling items and making something cool out them. You know - some imaginative inspiration. A proper book. There isn’t anything here worth paying for. I know I included a few pages, but I wanted you to see what she/they are selling. It’s not as described and I will make sure Amazon knows it.The waterproofing section - who is going to ruin clothing or whatever. She talks about tents, backpacks, etc that’s for all intents and purposes is pre 1950s information and will ruin the items. And I didn’t buy this book to work on tents. Leather is too expensive to use lanolin or petroleum jelly on. I wouldn’t use this on a $5,000 saddle and certainly not boots or pants. Leather pants should always go to a specialty cleaner. Oh my gosh beeswax on hemp, linen and light canvas. I have nothing against beeswax and yes it can waterproof in a pinch but there are better products today. And she says this may change the texture or appearance — you think! And can you imagine use joba or linseed oil or beeswax on expensive nylon outerwear. What is this woman thinking of. She talks about using turpentine, alum, soybean oil. There are proper waterproofers out there with instructions on them. Stick to those if you need to waterproof something. Check with an outfitter store. And your boots and belts - use proper leather cleaners and conditioners from a shoe or saddle shop. But more than anything I didn’t buy the book to get four pages of waterproofing my tent.Had this book been properly typed it would have taken up maybe 15 pages if that. And if she is go good, why didn’t she do a proper photo. Why, because they’d rather rip people off and waste people’s time and money. There are so many really good sewing books out there, had I had any idea this was like this — would have never bought. I hate to be harsh, never returned a book ever in my almost 70 years to a store or since the advent of internet, and including Amazon, EBay, etc., but this is taking advantage of people. Should have allowed a “look inside” preview. I hope Amazon does something about this. I will be returning. This is another Sold and shipped by Amazon - my second disappointment in Amazon in 2.5 months.

another neat little book to make my life easier
I have always been a 'tomboy' able to fix minor electrical things, painting buildings, making frames...but I missed the basic repair lessons for caring for my clothes to keep them useable. This little books is full of ideas and technique. I love these little GO TO books.

Handy tips
I find this little book to have many sewing tips that I was not familiar with. Refer to it frequently.

Hand sewing instructions.
Not what I expected. Instructions are for hand sewing/ mending. As a beginner level in sewing I wanted more instructions on alterations and mending using a machine.I'll keep it for future reference.

Not worth it,don't bother, you can find all the info you need for free online.
After waiting an interminable amount of time with constantly revised dates of publication I was incredibly disappointedWhat is essentially a pamphlet dropped through my door today. It is thin, largely printed and illustrated so what it boils down to in actual terms of tips/hacks is not only minimal,it tells me nothing I could not learn online for free.It looks as if it was written and designed by a child which some may find whimsical but personally I find patronising.Ironically I have probably done more environmental damage buying this than using any of the tips.

Disappointing
Thought it might have a bit more in depth information..might be ok if you are a complete beginner who has never even sewn a button on before, but for anybody like me who went beyond that at twelve years of age, its "Been there Done That" Not to mention it looks like it was drawn and written by a fourth grader. Was this supposed to be for children? If it was it never mention it in the ad.

Not worth it.
Definitely not worth the money. Very basic. Says what stitches to use but does not show how to make them. Tiny book. Hand written.

Tiny print
I bought the e-book version of this and since the writing is an image rather than text (it's a picture of handwriting) I was unable to increase the size. Quite difficult for some people to read such tiny print.
