Fantastic Series
We learn more about Teddy's power in this book. The Pirate Queen is added to the lineup, which makes the story much more interesting. A new threat from beyond is trying to make it's way into this universe. An entity that was imprisoned by the Elder Things. As in the last two books, lot's of bloodshed and death in this one. But sometimes great sacrifice is needed in order to protect others. I was sorry to hear about the fate of the security chief, but hey, he definitely knew the great risk he was taking. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

Teddy London at a loss?
"The Sleep That Rescues" begins with Teddy London casually using his growing powers, then turns everything on its head when the consequences of those powers reveal themselves. C.J. Henderson gives a new twist on his occult detective, and the questions raised threaten to end the universe. A power that has been trapped for ages has nearly broken out into our world, and only London and his allies can stop it-if it's not already too late due to London's hubris.London's supporting cast is good as usual (and Paul Morcey gets to shine in this one!). A new foil for London, the Pirate Queen, gets drawn into his world accidentally, and threatens to turn Teddy's world upside-down even as he faces the horror from beyond.Fans of occult detective fiction will not want to miss this one. Even though I"m not a fan of the genre in general, I've become a fan of Henderson's take, especially of the Cthulu cults.. IF you've never tried a novel like this, but love detectives or Lovecraft, give this book a try.
