I cannot go to bed with my little sound machine. It works so good, just for me and no one else can hear it. . I have terrible tinnitus so this machine will cover the ringing in my ears. It will go about a week between charges. You do have to sleep with the earphone in but it doesn’t bother me at all. It clips on my pajama top.

You will receive the unit itself, headphones, and the charging cable, and a clip to hold the unit in place.I've had this for just a couple of weeks, so take this review for what that's worth. If anything changes, I'll try to remember to update the review. I do like this because it cancels out the incessant tinnitus I deal with on a 24 hour basis. However, it doesn't seem like an item worth $30. If they charged $5.00 I'd still think they were making a nice profit. Having said that, I can't make a portable sound machine for myself, so until someone starts selling them for less, this is my only choice.You can change the pitch, from a lighter one that sounds like soft rain falling to a deeper one that sounds more like the ocean. I still haven't learned how long it holds a charge. I charge it for an hour or so and use it for a few hours. It's still working when I turn it off. The headphones have been fine. However, the clip is virtually useless. I've found it gave me a false sense of security. I just have to keep the unit in my pocket when I'm walking around. When I depend on the clip, the unit ends up giving into gravity. I have to just keep it in a pocket as if the clip doesn't exist.— — — —I came to love the Sound Oasis. The clip was only useful to keep the Sound Oasis in place while I slept and nothing more. Fully charged, the Sound Oasis stayed on right through the night and it helped me to sleep like a rock. I didn’t realize how much I must have been waking up in the night. But after using this I would wake up in nearly the same position I fell asleep in. Keeping the volume lower, I could hear what I needed to hear (taps at the door, etc) It was the constant white noise directly in my ear — without other noises interfering — that kept my brain in sleep mode. Trying to avoid EMF and other electronic device health hazards, I don’t use my cell phone or tablet to get white noise, even with head phones. I shut my electronic devices completely off at night. So I was glad to have the Sound Oasis. Unfortunately, it went completely dead after ONE year. No thanks. I don’t like the idea of adding to the landfills in our overburdened planet.Originally I said: I just don’t see why they couldn’t sell this for less than $30. It doesn’t seem like very complicated technology. But, if I find one now that is $30, I’ll still pay it because this thing has now become invaluable. There is no replacement for good, solid sleep and this has helped provide me with that.” But, of course, that is no longer true. I am sorry I bought this because now it will end up in the landfill. And I would never buy another one of these knowing the same fate awaits it. But if anyone ever makes a really good one of these that basically lasts a lifetime, I would buy it. Not only for me, but for friends as well.If you buy this, you are wasting your money. I gave this thing a year. And I didn’t even use it every day. It was mostly weekend use. So daily use it would likely last less than a year.

Even though the sound is more like just one tone, but it serves the purposes of being small and a portable sound machine. I own two of it, and one quitted because of dropping it while holding the earbuds cable. It was because of the earbuds jack came off from the circuit board from the drop.I add a rubber band to hold the cable onto the case, and it should make the machine work much longer in case it drops again. Hope it would help.

I loved that the item was so small and could deliver a sound that cancelled outside noises--including the human voice. I also liked that there were so many levels/tones to choose from. The only thing i did not like was that the tone that was good for me also had extra sounds in the backgroun--noises that was like voices of people talking in the next room while the tones were being recorded/created. Because of this additional sound i cannot use the device. The main reason i need the item is to cancel sounds from neighbors tvs. This doesn't work when there are similar sounds coming from the device.

Lightweight. Compact. Can be used at school where smartphones aren't allowed. My son loves it.Things that could be improved:* You can't tell if it's turned on just by looking at it. So if you unplug your headphones I think it drains the battery and you won't know. Likewise if you turn it on and turn the volume all the way down it goes silent and you can't tell it's on. It needs a physical sliding on/off switch or a light.* Charging light just turns very dim (instead of a different color) when charging is complete. You can't tell at a glance if it is done charging vs. not plugged in.* Volume control knob doesn't have labels. I wrote + and - on it with silver Sharpie.Still, it's been a godsend for my son, who uses white noise at school.

I have used sound generators for years to sleep because of my husband’s snoring. Previous models I owned had multiple sounds and other bells and whistles like travel alarms that I didn’t need. The only sound that ever worked well for this purpose is white noise, so finally I found something that does that well and ONLY that. It’s also tiny so it’s much better for travel, and it’s rechargeable.

It is small, with headphones, and sounds. But there are voices audible on some tracts, the headphones don't work if you push them all the way in. The clip popped off, the headphone plug is for single, or stereo connections, which is not included in instructions. I heard background voices talking. Not worth the cost. It did arrive in a timely manner.

These things used to cost around $40.00 and lasted several years, so when I needed to replace my old one and saw it was 25% cheaper I was pleased. It arrived and looked the same, but right away I noticed the sound was cheap and the headphone jack was crunchy. that jack lasted exactly 5 times. this new manufactured at a cheaper price one is absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY
