Volvo 850 Series 1993 thru 1997 (Haynes Manuals)

Preforming a 5 speed swap on an 850r wagon. Needed this book to tell what's what and where's what when it came to parts. Haynes never disappoints.

This book arrived neatly wrapped in cellophane and within 7 days of ordering. The book which is similar to the "Chilton" books and a good source of information that offers step-by-step instructions on certain repairs you will need to know about. The book was brand new and the price was a lot less than I anticipated. I would use this vendor again without hesitation. Continued success, Nick C. As with all Haynes manuals this was complete and affordable. It was also a gift to a friend. My practice whenever I buy a car is to buy its corresponding Haynes Manual. I am introducing my friends and family to that concept, 'Nuff said.

Far better than the Chilton's equivalent, this Haynes guides focuses on a small enough "slice" of models and years to allow it to get some decent detail. Far from perfect, of course, but a decent guide for the money. (Since the Volvo manual is a four-digit proposition, it's a reasonable trade-off.)

Book arrived in the shape advertised.

Other than the many typos and the referencing the wrong illustration its an ok book. It will help you out a lot for some things but leave some thoroughness to be desired. The one thing i do not like about it is the fact it is missing instructions on the PCV. For most cars i have worked on its a simple 5 minute fix. A Volvo it is not that simple. Other than that and the fact some of the pages the ink is hard to read it is something everyone who does not want to pay a lot in labor for a fix should have.

I own Haynes repair manuals for all of my vehicles. This is not a repair for dummies guide, nor is it for professionals only. If you have some auto knowledge (like what the part looks like or about where it should be) than you will love this guide. I have saved thousands thanks to these books

Well thought out, good information.I would place this manual on par with online resources, and a good supplement to detailed work. Must have if you plan on anything major on your car.Replaced sunroof, engine, transmission. frame, wiring. etc all with help out of this repair manual Would recommend
