I have had one of these for almost a year and am very happy with it. Yes, your hamster will figure it out pretty quickly if you put their favorite treats in there but for me the added benefit is that it holds the food and water bowls. This makes it very convenient for keeping them in place when my hamster is active and for removing them when I take the top off the hideout it sits on to change his litter box. I rinsed it off with warm water when I first got it but made sure to dry it really quickly, otherwise it's easy to wipe out with a paper towel. I left the lid off one compartment and just put seeds in there. My hamster is not a chewer so have not had any issues with him chewing the lids and unlike similar foraging toys it does not have string or hinges. It's also very entertaining to watch him nudge the lids open if I have hidden something he really likes in there! It also shows me how much he likes what's in there if he hasn't bothered with it :)

My bunny girl enjoys this toy. I give it to her when I’m going to be leaving the house. Only thing is I wish the treat spaces were a little deeper so I could put more of a variety of things in them.

Our hamster (Link) loved this “puzzle”. This is a great way for us to introduce more enrichment and foraging time when he is in his playpen. Even though it took him a bit to learn to move the pieces, he was easily able to nudge them with his nose and paws.The bamboo wood is incredibly smooth, there were no cracks or rough edges. The cover pieces also have pegs that easily fit into any of the slots, and they don’t fall out when they are nudged by our hamster.We personally did not have a water dish or food dish that fit into their designated spots, but that did not stop us from sprinkling loose food into those places.This was a great find for us and I will certainly be keeping updated with anything else this company might offer in the future. The quality of this product was definitely on par with what I might see from Niteangel (a trusted company I buy from) which is why I will be keeping an eye on future Wepets products.

I used it 2 times really, I would of used it more but the cover pieces almost instantly popped out the holes and I made the mistake of leaving it in my guinea pigs play area for a little too long and they chewed up all the hole cover pieces and peed on it so now it's completely useless maybe mine was just made badly but I'm not getting another for my boys so the can destroy it too

This item fell apart the first time I used it. Very unhappy with this purchase.

The scale with the photo of the Serian is correct. My hammy likes the four swinging door cavities. The doors do come off because they are just in there by a peg but shouldn't be a problem. If get it again.

I like that the rotating wooden covers are easily removable, and my rats will either rotate them or just pick them right up to get to the snacks underneath! It’s great

Hamster loves it but... it doesn't take long for them to figure it out. I think they still enjoy it. Worth buying.
