Quiet, effective smart purifier that works—ideal for allergies, dust, and cooking odours
I bought this Levoit smart air purifier to help tackle household dust, pollen, and general allergies, and overall, it’s a brilliant bit of kit that delivers real, noticeable results. Setup was completely straightforward with no issues at all. Connecting it to Wi-Fi was seamless, and the app works exceptionally well. It is great that it integrates with Alexa, though it's worth noting that the specific voice commands listed in the instructions don't all seem to work, at least not for me—only the basic ones to turn it on and off seem reliable. Setting up custom timers and schedules through the app is handy, and you can easily turn off the top display panel lights manually, though switching to sleep mode turns the lights off automatically anyway. It uses very little power, so leaving it on all day has had no noticeable impact on our electricity bill. In terms of performance, it genuinely works. I have a separate indoor air quality monitor, and it clearly shows that this unit is actively bringing the pollutant numbers down. Within just a few days of running, the difference in air quality was noticeable. It also handles cooking smells, smoke, and pet odours effortlessly. When set to auto mode, the built-in sensor reacts quickly—if you’re cooking or kick up dust, the fan cranks right up to clear the air quickly, though it is a little noisy when it kicks into full fan speed, before settling back down once the air is clean. Noise levels are otherwise very impressive on the lower settings. On Sleep Mode and fan speed 1, it is virtually silent and doesn't disturb sleep at all. Fan speeds 2 and 3 are audible, but you rarely need it running on max for long. Maintenance is equally hassle-free with a simple twist-off base to access the filter, and hoovering the outer pre-filter every so often extends its life while catching a surprising amount of visible debris. The only minor drawback is that the official Levoit replacement filters are on the pricey side, although there are cheaper third-party alternatives. Having said that, the filter life is very good and a year on and I have not had to replace the filter, although it has probably been turned off for 4 of the past 12 months. The supplier says the filter can last 8 to 12 months, and my experience matches this. Overall, it’s a quiet, highly effective, and smart solution for anyone suffering from allergies or wanting cleaner air. It's a little pricey but well worth the investment, and recommended.

The Purifier I didn't know I needed
I am in my first trimester of my pregnancy and I picked this up, plugged it in and switched it on. THE NEXT DAY a noticeable difference after replacing my previous Levoit core 300. I have an African Grey Parrot in the room where the Purifier is and the room no longer smells AT ALL and that is in a 10ft approx. size room. It's quiet as well, even when the cleaning function comes on, it boots up and does become a little louder when it notices a smell. If I leave the door open when cooking now it also removes cooking odour. An absolutely fantastic machine and I can now interact with my pet again after struggling with nausea which again has noticeably reduced over the last few days of owning it. The Filters do seem pretty expensive though but I think for the air quality improvement for myself and my pet it's worth it.

A quiet, efficient purifier that genuinely makes a difference
I’ve tried several air purifiers over the years, mostly because I suffer from mild allergies and wanted something to improve the air quality in both the bedroom and living areas. The LEVOIT Smart HEPA Air Purifier (Core 200S) has quickly become my favourite — it’s quiet, effective, and genuinely easy to use. I first purchased it for the bedroom, which is about 20m², but it’s rated for rooms up to 64m², so I knew it could handle a living room or study as well. Setup was effortless: unbox, plug in, download the app, and it was ready to go. Connecting to Wi-Fi and Alexa was straightforward, and I love being able to control it from my phone or with a voice command — I can turn it on or off, adjust fan speed, or set a timer without leaving the bed. The purifier is surprisingly quiet, especially on Sleep Mode. Even at night, the white noise is soft and unobtrusive, and it doesn’t disturb sleep. Despite being quiet, it still feels very effective. Within a few days, I noticed less dust settling on surfaces and fewer allergy irritations in the mornings — sneezing and congestion had visibly improved. Smoke from cooking and minor odours disappear quickly, which is a huge bonus for a small kitchen-adjacent space. Changing the filter is simple, and the LEVOIT app reminds me when it’s time, which makes maintenance hassle-free. The design is sleek and modern, so it blends seamlessly into the room without being an eyesore, and the touch controls on the device itself are intuitive if you don’t want to use the app. Overall, this purifier has made a noticeable difference to the air quality in my home. It’s quiet, effective, and easy to control, and it genuinely seems to reduce allergens, dust, and odours. I’d highly recommend the LEVOIT Core 200S to anyone looking for a reliable, user-friendly air purifier that works well for bedrooms or larger rooms alike — it’s a worthwhile investment for comfort, health, and peace of mind.

Everything you need in a smart purifier. Whisper quiet and brilliantly effective.
This Levoit Core 300S genuinely has everything you could want from a bedroom air purifier. It's smart, so it linked seamlessly with my Google Home system, allowing me to turn it on or off using quick voice commands via my Google Nest speakers. The built-in laser air quality sensor is remarkably accurate, instantly picking up changes and adjusting accordingly. If I use my Vape for a cheeky puff it quickly springs into action when on auto mode, quickly cleaning the air in my bedroom, clearing out dust and lingering smells in no time. Most importantly for me, it is extremely quiet on sleep mode. I barely notice it's running while I'm sleeping. Would I have preferred it to be a bit smaller? Yes, but I understand the physical trade-off between the speed of cleaning a room's air and the size of the unit itself. So, while I would have loved a slightly smaller sibling with identical features, this one would have got a 5 star review if it wasn't for the process to register the 10 Year Guarantee that comes with this toolkit. They give a URL on the box and the page is just a general page Bosch tool product page and when you search for "Register" or "Warranty" I wasn't able to find where to register the product. I filled a form on the webpage for help in doing this and may update this review depending on how fast or slow they get back to me regarding my query. The product itself is great but the product warranty registration process is frustratingly vague.

A genuinely effective air purifier – noticeable difference in air quality
I have been using this air purifier in my living room for quite some time now, and I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations. The first thing I noticed is how compact and unobtrusive it is. It doesn't take up much space, while the control panel is extremely intuitive. You don't really need to spend ages reading instructions to understand how everything works. The performance is what really impressed me. I am a smoker, I cook regularly and I share my home with a 50 kg dog, so this is definitely not the easiest environment for maintaining consistently fresh indoor air. Despite that, I have had several visitors specifically comment on how clean and fresh the air feels in my home. That is probably the best real-world endorsement I could give the product. Maintenance is also very straightforward. The purifier lets me know when the filters need replacing, so there is no guesswork involved. The only thing I would mention is that the original replacement filters are relatively expensive. I have since used compatible filters from another manufacturer at a lower price and, based on my experience so far, they have not compromised the effectiveness of the purifier. At its current price, this is not the cheapest purifier on the market, but I would consider it very good value for money. The combination of compact size, ease of use, effective filtration and simple maintenance makes it a product I would happily recommend. After living with it in a real home with cooking, smoke and a large dog, I can honestly say that I would buy it again.

Very effective. Stops sniffs and itching and reduces dust
I ordered the Levoit 200 air purifier as I suffer from asthma as well as allergies to dust that make me itch. Despite damp dusting I still suffer. Also have two dogs. The unit feels solid and of very good quality. Not overly heavy but a reassuring weight. The bottom half of the unit is removed by a small twist and is locked on the same. The HEPA filter is installed into the purifier this way. The unit can be controlled by the top panel which is quite easy to understand or by a VeSync app. This works very well and can control the unit from anywhere. If you set it to auto it will even alert you when air quality is reduced and increases airflow. Connecting is easy and so far has been very dependable. Does it work? Oh yes! Almost immediately I noticed the difference. Fresh cleaner air and allergic relief. The settings can be changed manually for the required power. There is a sleep mode that runs at the quietest setting whilst still filtering the air. I have also bought the larger 300 version for my sitting room. Both are run from the app too. As an example of the power and effectiveness of the purifier it was running when I changed carpets and undertook some work in the bedroom- the amount of dust and debris it captured is incredible. The filter looks grim but better than breathing it in. Very highly recommended and great value for money.

Really impressed
I bought this to try and improve my husband’s allergies (cats and we have two) and the amount of dust and cat hair floating around in the air. Positioned it in my living room where we all spend most of our time (including the cats). As far as aesthetics are concerned it’s not overly unsightly, it’s a large-ish white box but slim and reasonably easy to position so it’s not massively noticeable. It’s quiet most of the time and responsive to changes in air quality. When I’m cooking it automatically kicks up to clear the cooking smells, the same for steam ironing. It’s noisier on higher fan settings as expected, but this is usually short lived while it detects lower air quality. I hoovered out the filter and it had an impressive amount of dust and cat hair collected, that’s the first time I’ve hoovered it since I purchased the air purifier a couple of months ago. Previously when the sun was shining through my living room window I’d see dust and cat hair floating around, despite hoovering and dusting. The air purifier has impressively dealt with that issue. The app is easy to navigate and user friendly. I’ve set an automatic turn off time for the purifier and it’s looked after itself for the most part. As for hubs allergies, they’ve improved massively since purchase. He notices the difference if we’ve forgotten to turn it on, especially at the weekend when he’s home for more time. Overall it was a worthwhile purchase and does what it says it’ll do. The air in the house feels less stuffy and fresher. Negative: the only thing that I have found to be drawback is that it noticeably creates a draught and can cool the room down, especially on higher fan settings. This to me hasn’t negated the positives so I’m still impressed and happy with the purchase.

10/10 would buy again.
Perfect. Levoit just does it right. I ordered this to help with my allergies which it has and I can barely hear it running at all whilst its keeping my air quality top notch on auto mode, I also noticed that it barely uses much power at all which keeps the electricity bill down! the app functionality is a very nice touch as you can see the exact air quality rating on your phone and change any settings there too. It's bigger than i thought which is a good thing tbh, it covers a very wide area but it's perfect for small rooms too. If you're looking for a reliable Air purifier then you cant go wrong with this.

Completely unreliable sensors, contradictory readings and useless Auto mode
I genuinely regret buying this "air purifier". The actual filter and fan may well be moving air through the machine, but the entire point of paying for a smart purifier like this is that the sensors, air-quality indicators and Auto mode are supposed to tell you what is happening and react accordingly. Mine has behaved so inconsistently that I now have absolutely no confidence in anything it reports. For the first period of use, everything seemed normal. The purifier spent much of its time showing the two blue air-quality indicators. Then it suddenly started behaving very differently. One day it began repeatedly cycling through blue, green, yellow and red. On Auto mode the fan would ramp itself up to maximum because the purifier apparently believed the air quality was poor. I checked the app. The PM2.5 readings were generally reasonable, but the TVOC reading was suddenly shooting upwards. The app showed repeated “odour” events and TVOC peaks of around 225 to 229, while the purifier sat there with solid red indicators. I initially assumed there really must be something wrong with the air. So I started troubleshooting. I checked the filter. It was clean. I cleaned the inside of the unit. I checked the sensors for dust. I subsequently cleaned both sensors multiple times, including the PM2.5 sensor and the separate TVOC sensor. The problem continued. At one stage the windows had been open for most of the day, yet the purifier was still repeatedly cycling through the different air-quality colours and eventually sitting on red. I then closed the windows and door and ran the purifier manually on High for around 20 minutes. It still remained solid red. The TVOC reading continued to stay extremely high despite the purifier running flat out. I then carried the exact same purifier, with the exact same filter, into another room and plugged it in. Almost immediately it changed to green and then reported Very Good air quality. That suggested something in the original room might genuinely have been causing the problem. But then the behaviour became even more ridiculous. On another occasion, while it was showing solid red, I simply unplugged the purifier, left it disconnected for around two minutes and plugged it back in again. Nothing else changed. Same room. Same air. Same filter. Same sensors. It immediately came back showing two blue indicators. The air in the room obviously had not magically changed from supposedly terrible to excellent during the two minutes the purifier was unplugged. After that restart, the purifier then developed the opposite problem. Every time it was switched on, it immediately showed twin bright blue indicators and simply stayed there. It did this in a bedroom after two people and two cats had slept in it for more than eight hours with the windows closed. I then moved it into another room, right beside the dog cage. Again, it immediately showed twin blue indicators and stayed that way ( and the dog farts, literally ALL the time!). At that stage it appeared as though the sensors had simply stopped reacting to anything. And yes, before anyone suggests cleaning the sensors, I had already cleaned both sensors multiple times and carried out repeated tests in different rooms. Then the latest behaviour made the whole thing completely impossible to take seriously. The purifier ran for an entire day showing two solid blue indicators. I switched it off for approximately an hour. I then switched it back on. It immediately went straight to two solid red indicators. Nothing significant had changed in the room. So apparently the exact same environment can be judged as excellent all day, then suddenly become terrible merely because the purifier has been turned off and back on. At this point, which reading am I supposed to believe? I have also received bizarre notifications from the VeSync app saying: “Please open your purifier to clean the air.” Huh? Aside from being badly translated, the purifier was already switched on and running, showing twin blue lights when the notification arrived! I have now: cleaned the filter, cleaned the unit, cleaned both sensors multiple times, checked the sensor areas for dust, tested it with windows open, tested it with windows closed, run it manually on High for extended periods, moved it between different rooms, monitored PM2.5 and TVOC readings in the app, unplugged and restarted it, and repeated these tests over multiple days. The results remain completely contradictory. Sometimes it reports very poor air quality and sits on twin red indicators while running flat out. Sometimes moving it to another room immediately changes the reading. Sometimes simply unplugging it for two minutes changes it from red to blue. Sometimes it appears permanently stuck on blue regardless of where it is placed. And now it can apparently spend an entire day showing excellent air quality, be switched off for an hour, then immediately decide the exact same room has terrible air when it is switched back on. That makes the Auto mode effectively useless. Auto mode relies on the sensors to decide how hard the purifier needs to run. If the sensors cannot consistently determine whether the air is good or bad, the purifier cannot make a sensible decision about fan speed. More importantly, an air purifier is supposed to give you some reassurance about the air in your home. This one has done exactly the opposite. I have spent an absurd amount of time trying to determine whether there is genuinely something wrong with the air in my home, only to find that the purifier can completely change its opinion after being unplugged or switched off. At this stage I have no confidence whatsoever in the PM2.5/TVOC sensing system, the air-quality indicators or the automatic operation of this product. Maybe the physical filter works perfectly well. I have no way of knowing. But the “smart” side of this purifier, which is a major part of what you are paying for, has been completely unreliable in my experience. Very disappointing product. I would not recommend it.

Entfernt alten Zigarettengeruch
