Is this aquarium safe

It has rubber coating but metal wire inside im sure wire would rust so i wouldnt risk it

What gauge/diameter is the metal part of the wire?

I don't know for sure but I'll quess it 18 gauge single stran. Very flexible and he green cover protects the plants from damage. Can use a cut length more than once.
