TilleyStandard LTM6 Airflo Broad Brim Recycled, Midnight Navy, 7 1/4

I purchased the Tilley LTM6 Airflo about 2 weeks ago and it has quickly become my favorite hat. I chose the olive color, because I think it looks great. The hat itself is extremely good-looking for what it is, and has a bit of an Indiana Jones vibe.Living in the Palm Springs California area, where temps reach 115f and above in the summer, it's important to keep your dome cool. The LTM6 is a broad brimmed hat with mesh ventilation. It's fairly light, though to be honest, for a quick trip outside I will sometimes just grab an ultralight bucket hat. But when I'm going to be under the sun for any significant amount of time, the Tilley is my go-to. The broad brim shades my ears and neck.As other reviewers have mentioned, it's possible to tuck the two cords into the secret pocket to get them out of the way, though it's slightly awkward, and creates a small lump inside the hat. My only (very small) gripe is that I don't particularly need the 2nd cord (extra boot lace), and it's a little bit in the way. That said, this is the best hat I've ever owned, and has become one of my cherished possessions. Recommended!

Have rosacea on my nose and face so summer months is a challenge to keep the sun off. The peaks on Baseball caps and bucket hats just don’t give me the coverage that I need, but this one gives me the protection that I need, and also looks great, not like some of those wide, brim, fishing hats. The inside hat band is not abrasive, So I’m not rashed up like other hats. It’s a little more expensive than other wide, brim, hats out there, but it in my opinion, it’s worth every pennyVery satisfied and definitely would recommend it

I own several Tilley hats and like them all. However the original Tilley's were made in Canada and used to be made with better materials. These Chinese made ones seem to be made with cheaper fabric. That being said these hats are still good quality and made well.

Bought this for my boyfriend, who loves it. It’s stylish, comfortable, offers enough airflow so it isn’t too warm, and it doesn’t blow off his head like the straw brimmed hat he was wearing. :-) Have bought Tilley before and always been pleased!

Tilley is known for good hats and this one is no exception. Has all the advantages; good fit, good style, durability, floats, ect. that Tilley is known for in a light weight and comfortable version.

Purchased my original Tilley at the Annapolis Sailboat Show in the early 2000‘s and wore it consistently for years before setting it aside. Recent trip to the dermatologist and resulting biopsy indicated that I needed to do more to protect my head, face and upper body. Found that my trusty old Tilley was too small to be comfortable, so I ordered a new LTM6 but found it too small…even after following sizing instructions. Returned it and ordered two sizes larger and it fits well.The first order arrived folded multiple times in a plastic bag. Laid it out for two days and deep creases in the brim remained. Returned it to Amazon due to size and condition, and then ordered larger size. New hat arrived in a flat cardboard package with no creases. Much better condition. Due to fit and condition, it‘s a “keeper“.In the proper size, the hat fits comfortably loose and, if it is needed, the combination retention strap holds the back of the head and chin. It is water resistant and the brim provides both rain and sun protection. The hat packs flat (don’t fold it) for travel.I am pleased with my new Tilley hat and expect to continue using it for many years.

This hat is protective of sun (SPF 50), wind, rain, and bugs. Floats on the water and is guaranteed for life. Even if you just lose it.

Well made and looks like it will last a long time.

This LTM6 was the smallest size I could find for the brim size and colour that I preferred for the time I needed it.The hat quality is good and well worth the patience to modified it to fit. Not the cleanest stitch job but it's hidden and no more sore ears.Only four stars as I'm disappointed they are no longer made in Canada. The inner tag reads "Designed in Canada, Made in China".

I liked the hat. Wide brim to keep the sun off you. It is a bit pricey but the quality is there to last a long time. Not as stiff as I was expecting.
