Got these to replace all of our smoke detectors. After becoming distracted by a toddler melee in the living room and leaving some bacon unattended for a few seconds too long, I can confirm that they indeed work and are nice and loud. These are a bit smaller in diameter than most smoke alarms, so if you or the previous owners of your home only painted up to the edge of the old smoke detector then you're going to have some extra work to do. No more difficult to install than any other smoke detector. Drill two holes, gently hammer in two of the cheapest plastic drywall anchors that China can produce, screw down the mounting plate, then put the detector in place. While batteries are technically included, I'm not sure of their quality. I decided to use them as I do test our smoke alarms monthly so I can replace them when they do die, but if you're not the type to do so, just spend a little extra money and throw some Energizers or Duracells in.

These are great working products! They are very well made and super easy to install. We were selling our home and these pass the inspection and codes needed to sell. They are not super noisey when they do go off but they are loud enough to here throught the house and even from outside. They are small and compact which is nice. No eye sores from large bulky ones. The amount of money it was for 4 of them was totally worth it. Not expensive at all.

These fire alarms work really well. The box of four brings a mount that you can drill through in order to make it permanent and more secure. However, my prefered method was using some two sided tape as you dont need to drill and you can relocate the device much easier. The battery life is good, and it brings some batteries straight from the factory. So far I have had no false alarms and the device went off one time with some bbq smoke. The device sounds really loud and it will wake you up. Its a must have for any home.

The LSHOME 4Pack Smoke Detector Fire Alarms were easy to install despite the need to drill new holes because the mounting screw dimension was different than the previous detectors - the smoke detectors are about 15% smaller than the previous detectors. The only con that I have is that there is no reset button when there is an alert, I have to remove the detectors from the base & remove/reinstall the battery to reset; fortunately, this seldom occurs and all of the alarm detectors are within easy arms reach. The alarm 'chirp' sound is loud & very attention-getting. The LSHOME smoke detectors are a cost-effective safety measure that every home should take advantage of.

As others have said, these are small and don't fit on other bases. Not a big deal...just take down the old base and put the new base up. These work great.

I had old smoke detectors dangling open or minus batteries or simply not working. Time to take it all down and start fresh. The old ones were over a decade old and at a recent seminar I learned the sensors were probably non-functioning given their age. I wasn't able to even test them- into the trash! But these new detectors are great- smaller footprint, sleek looking, easy to test, and easy to install- two screws- easy/peasy. One in the hallway outside each bedroom, in the family room, and in the hallway to the garage and utility room. Now I can sleep soundly at night- safe again. And they came with batteries- how smart was that!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought the product on January 3 and installed on January 8. Just less than one month one of the four detectors started beeping. I thought it was a battery problem. I replaced the new battery but the detector is still beeping every 30 seconds. Noisy.
