I had been having starting issues with my Force 120 outboard for some time. At starts the engine would turn over very slowly then kick in with "gusto". Not being a boat mechanic I thought it to be a power issue. I checked for grounds and replaced the battery. Still the same reluctant starts. Finally one day, with everyone at the dock ready to board for a day on the lake, the motor turned twice and then stopped turning completely. I knew the battery had a full charge. I removed the motor covering and found the starter frozen in the engaged position. It was extremely hot to the touch and smelled like burned plastic. I removed this original starter and replaced it with a new Arco 5393. The whole process took about 20 minutes. I test started the engine with the new starter and it quickly and effortlessly spun the engine to life. Problem solved. I have had the new Arco starter for only a month now and have had about 8-12 starts since then. It quickly spins the engine to life every time. The boat is a joy to start now. I give this Arco starter (so far) five stars!

Chrysler 85 motor had problems starting. Brand new battery. New power cables. New terminals, still would barely turn over. Then one day it would just click. Bought this guy to replace it, took maybe 10 minutes and it fired right up now. Great product. Fast delivery.

Arcos starter fixed my starting problems. Very strong starting speed, that cranks my outboard at a quick rate. Starter stays cooler thatthe stock starter. Delivery was very quick and surprised me. So far this is a very go investment and works very well.

Worked for my 120HP Force when no other starter would turn it, and would burn up trying.
