Impulse sealer 24" plastic bag heat seal machine metal body

Works fine although have to set temp dial higher than I expected to get a clean seal on PVC shrink bags. Main issue I have is that I immediately had take apart the top arm and repair it because one of the two springs that push on the bar to create even pressure was floating loose on the box! Makes me wonder if it's going to pop loose again with use. Really should have a better design to retain that spring.

The wiring in this thing is astonishingly bad, this thing is mainly built out of steel or other conductive metals but doesn't have any grounding, so when things go bad is you who get's the shock. The wiring is super thin, maybe scrapping the minimum requirements for the amount of current it handles, really cheap if you ask me. Now the bad, I notice all this because one morning I wasn't wearing any shoes and was going to seal up some produce, but wasn't able to because I got shocked every time I pressed the damn thing. I opened the thing and saw that there was some cables making contact the chasis/outer body of the sealer, wrapped said wires with some electrical tape and done, no more shocking. A week later the thing stopped working, the culprit was the switch, now I have useless piece of steel that does nothing.The other bad thing that I wasn't going to mention, but since the previous thing happened, is that the lever that goes down wobbles from side to side A LOT, you have to align it yourself to be able to apply pressure in the right spot.

Sealer activated prior to handle being down thus limiting actual seal time to fraction of second. And the seal appeared less than 1/8 inch wide. Finally, handle swayed left to right creating lots of slop.

Old fashioned, not pretty,,,so useful I use it everyday.
