Universal Monsters Creature from The Black Lagoon Glow-in-The-Dark 6-Inch Action Figure - Entertainment Earth Exclusive

I'm a sucker for Glow in the Dark stuff. 6" action figures and Universal Monsters. So I could not resist.I have most of the other Jada 6"Monster line. The line itself is a true gem. Much better than NECA's better known 7" figures. With better plastic and good articulation.The Glow in the Dark Creature looks a little more toylike than the others owing to his translucent gitd plastic. But he has some good paint apps. And he glows well when charged. (I use a UV blacklight). Other than the glow in the dark he comes with the same accessories as the regular creature. A second pair of hands. An alternate head. A spear gun. A really nice soft goods net. And a mumified hand.At a true 6" scale he pairs perfectly with Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified, Indiana Jones Adventure series etc.

Got this figure for a friend for Christmas. We grew up on horror movies together for decades. I knew he would love this Creature figure so I had to get it.He called me raving about it. Said it looked and felt amazing. Had a good solid feel and not cheap plastic that might break if it fell over.The packaging was pretty awesome as well. If you wanted to display it in the box you actually can.This gets a 10 out of 10

Outstanding Figure! Bright Glow In The Dark feature works right out of the box. Creech has a nice solid feel and outstanding articulation. A totally outstanding figure!

When I heard Jada toys was doing a glow in the dark creature from the black lagoon, I was skeptical at first. Jada toys tend to run smaller and with less details then neca's figures, but for 6 inch collectors or CftBL fans, this seemed like a novel buy. Pros include the figure durability, and accessories, and despite the minimal paint, what it has is well applied. Cons would be this: for the desired glow effect this figure needs to swtich from bright sun light to complete darkness, or invest in a black light. Even with the black light the body takes longer to absorb. So by and large a good, but novel buy. Definitely recommend for die hard CftBL fans.
