DilmahExceptional Rose With French Vanilla Leaf Tea (100g)

I first tried this tea at a very classy hotel and fell in love with it so as soon as we got home I went online and ordered some. It's absolutely fantastic value when you compare to the lovely but posey T2 teas. That rose essence is just right not too over powering but subtle and the vanilla is a nice combination. But I love floral teas e.g. French Earl Grey.

I haven't tried rose tea before so for me this review is as a bewby. Approaching 70 and being arthritic I recently invested in Borosilicate mugs and tea pot; so I felt the need to indulge myself with new varieties of tea and experiment. My little teapot fills my large 17oz mug 1.5 times. So I make a pot in the morning and sit it next to me. 1/2 way through my first cup I top-up with the extra tea. What a surprise this tea made. The scent/aroma is just delightful and even as the pot is now empty, it stills fragrances the room. The taste is divine and leaves a beautiful taste in your mouth and nostrils. I'm extremely pleased I tried this one. I'll definitely be buying it again.

Was put onto the Rose and Vanilla by a family member. I love it. I have a "Tea for One" cup and pot and find it fantastic just to sip through the morning. Only advice would be not to let the leaves brew for more than five minutes as it can make it bitter.

I was hoping the rose and vanilla would be subtle, like the Jasmine green tea from Dilmah (lovely aroma). Unfortunately the rose smell makes the tea like a very strong pot-pourri, which reminds me of a stale cupboard. Not very relaxing at all. Would pinch my nose to the drink the tea (if I could be bothered lol). Recommend only if you like the strong smell of pot-pourri.

Bought this as a filler to get free delivery. Had a lovely strong rosy smell but tasted plain as normal tea.
