Matches my hair perfectly
The Clairol red root spray is too dark for my henna-on-gray hair. This matches perfectly. To try it I didn't buy the version with the applicator brush, just this refill, and used a makeup brush to apply it to the roots.

Can’t use a brush from another color
The color is great, no complaints there.I am transitioning colors I bought this as they didn’t have color with brush. So I washed out my other brush to attach it but other color keeps coming thru.

Does what I wanted it to do
While a wee bit expensive this product does exactly what I want it to do. I had originally ordered this on Home Shopping and decided to check out Amazon when I had to re-order. It was a nice savings since I didn't have to pay shipping with Amazon Prime. I have silver hair and my hair has thinned a bit over the last few years as I have entered my 70's with my part getting more obvious. I use this product in the silver shade to cover the thinning areas on the top of my head and it works great. Stays in until washed out so you don't have to apply again until after shampooing.

Works for me
I love this product. I have used it for three years or so. It thickens, covers gray, and hides the skin at the part of your hair. I have always used the blonde and know people that use the darker shades complain about it on their faces
