Excellent high impedance ear piece. Works very well with entry level crystal radio projects.

It works very well. Not real comfortable but in that regard, they’re all about the same. Spend an extra dollar or two. These earphones are pretty good. 👍🏻👍🏻

Bought this for a “foxhole radio” I was building as a demonstration for radio classes. Allowed me to heard radio signals picked up on a wire with zero power put into the system, just the tiny bit of energy picked up by a 30’ wire and run through a handmade coil and a razor blade.

Works fine with my crystal set, which is why I bought them.

This is a solid-feeling earpiece with about 40 inches of attached cable, ending with two pre-tinned wires. With my crystal radio, these produce surprisingly good quality sound when placed in parallel with a 100k load resistor. The lower frequencies aren't exactly earth shattering, but they're not absent, either, so the resulting sound is fairly natural and not too tinny. The tips unscrew easily for cleaning. The inner diaphragm appears to be brass. I was so pleased with the first one that I ordered a second, so I can have an earpiece in each ear. Definitely helpful when zeroing in on those quiet stations.

This crystal earpiece is the best. This company had solved the problems the other ones all had.. I bought the other ones so I know. I would have given it a 5 star if the cord was.longer. I would pay extra to see this happen. Pay the money and buy these. These work very well and will save you some troubleshooting headaches.

The first earphone I bought for my crystal radio never worked reliably, and stopped working altogether in no time. After doing some research I found out that there are a couple of problems that are common with most crystal earpieces: 1.) the diaphragm needs to be brass (most are tin) 2.) the wiring inside the earpiece needs to be soldered in order to last (most are glued) This upgraded earphone addresses both of those issues, and buying them made more sense than buying a pack of diaphragms & trying to solder the wires on the other headphone myself, so I was very pleased to find them! The sound is great & the earphone has performed 100% reliably so far, and I expect they will last much longer than the first one I bought.
