An essential for every home
I am a firm believer in home fire safety, this brand is fitted for vulnerable people by my local fire service which is why I chose it, I have had these before they are so simple to fit and last for ages, I like the one with the light as it helps you get your bearings in thick black smoke. I would recommend, they are an excellent price, offer great peace of mind are arrive very quickly.

I don't like that the batteries are said to be NOT changeable. In a world where we are supposed to be cutting down our carbon footprint why do we have to buy a complete new item instead of changing a battery.?? What a stupid idea..!! I bought this one to replace one of the same model as fitted by our local fire authority about 7 years ago.. so much for the 10 year battery.!After replacing the old alarm with this new one, i decided to investigate the old one... i opened it up quite easy, accessed the battery by removing a small cover 3 screws.The original battery has wires permanently soldered on to it. But the battery had a part number on it, I bought a new battery off the internet, cut the 2 wires, soldered the new wires in and hey presto the old alarm works as good as new. Ok so you need a little bit of practical knowledge to do what i did, but not much.But the point is, there is absolutely no reason why the manufacturer couldn't make this an easy clip out clip in battery just as easy to change as other models.

Perfect For The Kitchen
I put this in the middle of the ceiling,obviously no where near the cooker/oven in my kitchen,easy to put up,just a couple of screws and job done and with a long life battery it should last me a good while even with my wife’s cooking

Nice alarm.
Bought this for a rental property.For smoke and heat alarms I tend to go with fire angel, I find them reliable and good quality.Easy to fit, you can either screw in, or stick on the ceiling with command strips as the alarms are light.
