Super floating new with tie string bottom. The floating pond plants are finally manageable with these nets. The nets have a drawstring closure on the bottom and can be anchored in location.

The picture shown on the product as of now is a little misleading. The large picture is a good representation, but there were no reviews that gave any information like I would have needed. The small illustration is outright wrong. I wish I had taken measurements so that I could include what the actual measurements were, it didn't seem like 18" high when open but I could be wrong. The issue is that the bottom is the same diameter as the top. There is no taper, and there is only a drawstring to close the bottom of the net. When you close the drawstring, that 18" becomes more like 6". I will be using this eventually for keeping koi away from floating water hyacinths, so hopefully it will work fine for that... However, I bought it now to protect a water lily tuber that's in the pond. I may as well have the mesh bag the tuber was already in sit on the surface of the water when trying to use this product to protect it from underneath. I could really only see this being useful for underwater plants if they're in pots with tops high enough to shrink the drawstring around, which may be difficult depending on the depth of your pond. Forget about using it like the small illustration of 3 potted water lilies completely surrounded by the mesh.

Very cheaply made. I was afraid to pull the drawstring for fear it would break.

Does what it is suppose to do keeping the plants contained and protected from the fish outside the net.However fish being fish the little ones squeeze thru the bottom and the bigger ones jump over the rim soeach day I am taking the fish out of the net. I like the idea - just trying to figure out how to keep the koi outof it.

Not as shown in pictures. This is maybe 18 inches wide and a max of four inches deep. No drawstring. Very little room for the plant roots of a water hyacinth, for example.

Functions as advertised. Useful in containing floating plants.
